Chapter 46

They strolled along the river until the sun started to set and light up the Kremlin with breathtaking colours. Though Laney had travelled in her time as an assassin, she had never before done anything as simple as explore a famous landmark tourist destination. She found it both exhilarating and frustrating at the same time. She wanted to capture the sights with a camera and murder all the other tourists that were standing in her way of seeing everything.

Boris, trailed by their bodyguards, escorted her back to the car and soon they were on their way to the restaurant.

Again, Laney found herself the recipient of a brand-new experience. Though she had eaten in restaurants before, never on a date and never as the sole focus of a handsome, dangerous Russian mobster that looked like he would prefer to be eating her than the steak he was currently consuming.

"Stop looking at me like that!" Laney hissed, choking on her wine and looking nervously around to see if anyone noticed.
