Catherine sat at the table, head turned his way, and he inwardly flinched at the sight of those red, raw looking eyes, green irises in sharp contrast. From the bed the quiet steady sound of Kassandra's breathing broke the silence.

Stepping into the room and closing the door, he bowed to Catherine then took a seat at the table.
