Chapter 7: Battle at The Beach, Part 1

The girl was sitting on a rock outside staring at the ocean, the water glimmering in the sunlight. She scratched her head softly, sighing as her red and black hair flowed in the wind. Her eyes were red colored and sharp, like those of a dragon's, and she had black horns on her head. She wore a black jacket, red shirt, and skinny fit jeans as well. Another girl walked behind her, calling her name.

"Nix. C'mon," she said to her.

Nixanya turned around to look at the girl, and then looked back.

"There's no fighting or food so I'm not interested, Angel," she grumbled.

"N-A-E-T-E-R-O-U. Call me by my name, Nix," she said to her, crossing her arms and huffing.

The white-haired girl was irritated with Nixanya's attitude. She closed her blue eyes, giving off a sigh. She wore a black shirt, a jean jacket, blue shorts, and white knee socks. She walked up next to Nixanya, crossing her arms. Nixanya looked to her, chuckling and getting off the rock, her hands in her jacket pockets.

"Fine, whatever. What do you want?" she asked, an unamused look on her face.

Angel looked up to Nixanya, who was slightly taller than her, and pouted. "Celeste wants us," she told her.

A confused look arose from Nixanya's face. "Isn't she back at the castle?" she asked. Angel shook her head and began to walk back to where she had come from.

"She's at the camp, where the meeting or whatever is taking place," she told her. Nix continued walking and thinking for a short moment before responding with another question.

"There's a meeting?" she asked.

"-I'm not sure. I think so. There's lots of important people over there, but at the same time, none of us have met up with any of them. There's a few hundred soldiers over there, too," she told her. Nixanya grinned and pounded her fist into her hand.

"How 'bout we show 'em who's boss, eh?" Nix began to sprint, leaving Angel behind.

"Damn it, Nix!" Angel yelled out.

She began running as fast as she could after Nixanya.

"Embarrassing," she thought to herself, knowing fully well that she would stir up trouble if she had the chance.

The three appeared near the port of the island; there were some ships docked nearby. A large violet blue crystal about ten feet tall stood by, encased in bullet proof and shock proof glass, which helped them transport from place to place with their crystals. This was an expensive, but efficient means of travelling from place to place quickly.

Only royal families or people who lived in a kingdom travelled in such a fashion, as the crystals for said travel cost thousands depending on their weight, shape, and type. There were multiple shops selling fish and other foods, which caused Naisyn to drool as she smelled fish being fried. Storm and Nanao looked around and sensed the sigil, which was nation's symbol but found none in view.

"Nanao. Why'd we land here? Why don't we go straight towards the sigil?" he asked her.

She looked towards him, a finger to her lips, telling the boy to stay silent. She was looking around the area.

"We're being watched," she said silently.

Storm began to look around, suddenly seeing a hooded figure hide behind one of the stands. He started to quickly walk over to where he saw the figure, only to find nothing. Nobody was there, and that feeling of being watched quickly dispersed. The intent he felt was almost murderous. Whoever this person was, if Storm wasn't careful, things could have seriously gotten dangerous. The salesman for fried fish had noticed him and began to question what Storm was doing behind his stand. Storm nervously laughed it off and bought a piece of fish, attempting to make himself look less suspicious.

He walked back to the Naisyn and Nanao, and stuffed the fish into Naisyn's mouth, the girl closing her eyes and moaning softly, chewing on the fish.

Taking Naisyn by the hand, Nanao walked with Storm, whispering to him, "Naisyn and I are representatives of a powerful figure. You've caught the eye of the public multiple times before, so we cannot look suspicious at the signing in the least, understand?" she told him, and Storm nodded.

"Y-Yeah-got you," he spoke, understanding this but keeping watch of his surroundings the entire time.

The three walked by. People whispered and kept their voices low as they saw them walk, causing Storm to become a bit uncomfortable. Ignoring his surroundings, he looked out the corner of his eye, seeing Nanao wearing a tense expression. He continued to look in front of him and kept walking with the girls, hoping to be out of the area as soon as possible. Storm looked back to see some people staring at them, gathering back to where they were earlier, and he saw the hooded figure again.

The wind brushed the hood by slowly, which lifted it just for a moment, and Storm caught a glimpse of the figure's helmet. A golden helm trimmed with silver. Regardless of not seeing his face, Storm still felt a strong murderous intent shooting at him. The figure quickly adjusted its hood, walking away and fading into the crowd. Storm turned, feeling chills and wiping the sweat off his forehead, and he walked a bit quicker.

The three finally left the shopping district, following Nanao's directions towards the sigil. The girl pointed towards a rock, which seemed to have contained the source of Celeste's energy; the place they were designated to meet up at. Storm stood near the rock, seeing the sigil on its side, and gave a nod, sensing the energy radiating from it.

"Storm!" A girl's voice called the boy's name.

Turning around, he grinned, seeing it was Naeterou.

"Angel. Hey, what's up?" he said as she walked up to him, holding her arm and wincing a bit. Storm noticed this and became worried.

"Are you alright? What happened to you?" he asked.

Angel merely smiled, but it lasted for a mere moment as she replied. "I got hit-it's nothing really. I'm glad you guys are here though-I'm having a bit of a problem-" she said to him, looking behind her.

Storm looked to his side only to find Nanao standing in front of Nixanya, the girl's hands on her sides. A violent mix of energy came from the two, both letting out an intense atmosphere.

"I did like you guys suggested and tried not to fight back-but she kept at it, anyway," she spoke to Storm, and he sighed.

"What's that girl even made of?" he commented.

Nixanya then opened her mouth to speak.

"So? You finally decided to show up, huh? HUH?" Nanao looked to her, dead silent, heaving a sigh.
