Chapter 30

Standing before the full-length, three-way mirror in her black bra and half slip, Savannah held up one outfit and then the other, the first a basic black sheath dress and the second a navy-blue linen suit, the jacket double-breasted and the A-line skirt hemmed at mid-thigh.Both Carolina Herrera outfits were appropriate for wearing to a funeral, but she hadn't decided which one suited her best. The dress could be accessorized with her gray pearls, the suit with a gray silk blouse and a navy and white scarf.

The owner of the Model Shop, specializing in women's designer clothing, always sent over a variety of outfits for Savannah's perusal.Sometimes she picked one, other times the whole selection. She tried another dress, an indigo silk-blend with black pleats in the skirt and below the bodice.Savannah had a black wrap that would go with it.
