"Easy boy," Briana said to the exquisite animal. "You know you can't fly with both of us on." 


"No, the weight is too much for him," Briana answered. With a light clicking of her tongue, Kirlin trotted into the forest. 


The slight gush of wind in his face felt good to Seth as Kirlin's trot broke into a full gallop. The trees passed quickly around them as Kirlin darted between them expertly. Elderberry trees, cedar, and black and white spruce passed them quickly. Then Seth noticed a cherry tree. 


"Stop here for a minute," Seth called out abruptly. 


"What?" Briana sounded confused, but pulled Kirlin to a stop.
