Briana thought for a moment. "Are there usually two guards out front?"


"Earlier, I attempted to leave and I went into the hall before Dracon entered and one guard was awake and one was asleep. Do they usually do that? I mean, does one usually nap while the other stands guard?"


"Not usually, but sometimes," Ellie offered, also trying to think of a way to help Briana. 


Briana thought for a moment, then asked, "Ellie, do you know how to sword fight?"


"Are you joking?" Ellie looked at her, aghast, unable to believe what she had heard. 


"No, I am not joking. Can you fight with a sword?" Briana asked, looking her straight in the eye as they both sat on the floor. 


Ellie quickly shook her head. "No, I never learned."  She thought for a moment, and then asked sheepishly, "Can you teach me?"
