At the bottom of the spiral staircase, she entered the hallway which led to the Grand Hall. In the spacious hallway, she saw many people she knew, and many she didn't know. She looked around for Seth, but did not see him anywhere. 


"Monsignor Blake!" Briana recognized the monsignor who had saved her life. "It is so nice of you to come." 


"I would not have missed it for the world." Monsignor Blake took her hand into his with a smile and kissed it. "Thank you for inviting me, especially after ..." 


He did not finish the sentence, but she knew what he meant. "I'm glad you are here," Briana reassured him, patting his hand. Then to Colin, she said, "Watch out, Father. He has a mean right hook, especially with the Good Book!"


Monsignor Blake and Colin laughed, the Monsignor bowed, and Colin escorted her into the doorway of the Grand Hall.
