Because of the money he had received from the sale of the coins that Briana gave him, he was able to provide a nice life for his mother and himself. Even though Seth had insisted that his mother quit work, she refused, but she promised to hold out until she found something that she wanted to do. She settled on working with children and entered the local university to become a teacher. Seth knew that his mother had always wanted to go to college and now she was finally able to. No longer needing the money, she worked part time as a paraprofessional, or teacher's assistant, within the classroom while she earned her teaching degree. As a result, Victoria was home every night with Seth-except for the nights that she was in class-and, much to Seth's enjoyment, she was happy. She loved working with children and found great satisfaction in watching the light of enlightenment turn on within a child's eyes.
