Cambria

The early morning sunrise had spread to shoots of orange, pink, and yellow, lightening the sky into a light blue as Seth made his way into the courtyard, ignoring Sam and Ellie. Although Seth was fuming mad, he was glad to see that Sam had found Ellie. The way that Sam had been acting around her lately, Sam had changed somehow. Being in Cambria and around Ellie had been good for him. Rays of early morning sunshine glistened off the earth-toned stones as he walked past them.


"Seth, what's wrong?" Sam asked, suddenly concerned as Ellie jumped back, startled to see Seth walking purposefully toward Dain across the courtyard, already assembling the knights of Cambria. Bryce and Reese were walking from the barn, having packed the horses, preparing for battle.


Rage filled Seth's chest as he approached Dain. "What happened to all of you last night? Cowards! You ran away at the first sign of trouble!" Seth yelled, fuming mad.
