Chapter 152: Renaissance Festival, Part 3

He sat in her room, holding her hand until the nurse finally appeared in the doorway.

"Sorry, sir," Rachel said. "It's time for you to let her rest."

Seth turned around and nodded. Slowly, he released her hand and walked across the room toward the door.

The nurse looked at him with kind eyes. "Why don't you go home, change your clothes, and get some rest? Then, you can come back in the morning."

Seth nodded, appreciating her sincerity. "Thank you for your kindness," he said as he passed, headed toward the waiting room.

When he entered the waiting room, he was bombarded with questions. Once he told them everything that he knew and that she had squeezed his hand lightly when he was holding it, everyone seemed to relax a bit.

"Why don't you go home and get some rest and you can come back in the morning?" Seth said to everyone, as a yawn escaped his lips.

"Come with us, Seth," Victoria said, giving his arm a gentle squeeze.

Seth shook his head. "I'm not leaving her."
