"What do you mean, threatening my queen?" Dracon demanded of Virtra, grabbing the deep red collar of her cloak, but she quickly disappeared and reappeared a few feet away, out of Dracon's reach. 


"Why, Dracon," Virtra said in her sickening sweet tone. Her dark makeup accented her coal black eyes, making her look evil, despite her sickening sweet demeanor. "Whatever do you mean?"


Dracon was fuming and visibly shaking as he ran his hand through his dark, curly hair. "What did Briana mean when she said that you were 'fond of fire'?"


"I do not know, dear Dracon," Virtra said, feigning innocence as she took a step closer, but still out of Dracon's reach. "It happened just like I had said. I was in the forest and happened upon a burning pyre. When I looked, Briana was in the center, but I thought it was too late to save her."
