Raine inhaled quickly and took a step back. 


"Oh. Please excuse me," the man said as his anger left him. "I did not realize that Bryce was not alone." He glared at Bryce. 


"Raine, this is Colin. Colin, this is Raine," Bryce said, making the necessary introductions. 


Colin's eyebrows pulled together. "Raine ... that name sounds familiar..."


Raine's eyes flew open wide as she quickly looked at Bryce. "This was a mistake. I should not be intruding..."


"Nonsense!" Colin said, stepping away from the door to allow enough room for her to pass, but glared at Bryce. "And you ... we will talk about this later."


Bryce nodded once as they passed and entered the cottage.
