"What?" she asked, looking at me with her incredible blue eyes.
I took a deep breath. "Sitting beside you on a porch swing, or in a rocking chair, rocking back and forth while our children and grandchildren play around us."
"Are you calling me old?" she teased as a smile played on her lips.
"Please," I said in disbelief. "You, my dear, will never be old. You know what I mean."
She nodded. "Yes, I would love to grow old with you. Lance."
"You won't mind it too much?"
She laughed. "As long as you are by my side." I gently kissed her lips, but she pulled back "Lance, when I start aging, will you still love me?"
I stroked her hair away from her face. "It matters not to me the color of your hair or the shape of your body. You will always be beautiful to me."
A broad smile spread across her lips. "Okay, in that case, bring me back the biggest box of chocolates that you can find."
I laughed, imagining her devouring the whole box. "Wait a minute, let me rethink this "
