Chapter 51: Meeting Kori

"Of course, you know Nunsalam," Adelaide said.

"Of course," Bae replied. "It's good to see you again, Nunsalam."

"Slightly less exciting this time around," Nunsalam, the elderly man stood beside her future mate said softly. "Your Commencement was like none other I've witnessed."

"Grandfather," her future mate replied, "you've only seen three. The way you're speaking you'd think you'd seen them all."

"Perhaps I have," Nunsalam teased. "Perhaps I'm the Great Silver Fox in disguise."

Nunsalam's words caused laughter to erupt amongst their group. "Well, Great Silver Fox," his grandson smirked, "why not lead the way."

Nunsalam sighed. "Always in such a rush, Kori. The poor Kumari will think you're not pleased to meet her."

Kori's eyes softened but only for a second. He bowed his head and said, "Kumari, it's a pleasure."

"Likewise." Her voice was far more confident than her heart. Where her voice didn't hitch or react to him, her heart was trying to escape from her chest.
