Chapter 102: Woken In The Night

Arvin was awoken by the sounds of screaming. Pushing himself up, he tried to climb out of the bed. His body was too weak but he tried to fight it, clinging to the bedpost so that he could move towards the door.

Feeling increasingly frustrated and concerned, he stumbled forward, falling into the door. His hand grasped for the handle and he pushed the door open before making his way into the hall.

Even though the screaming had stopped, he didn't feel even the least bit relieved. He was panicked, scared out of his mind that something might have happened to his son, Talas. He rushed down the corridor as fast as she could, which wasn't very when he had to cling to the wall just to stay up right.

As he turned the corner onto the corridor that housed Talas's room, he let out a gasp. The sight before him was truly shocking. He was horrified as he stood momentarily transfixed. His fear escalating, his heart began to roar in his chest.
