"You're kidding?" Bae's mouth dropped, her eyes wide. She looked utterly horrified at the mere idea that the realm would be interested in something as personal as her fertility.
"It's okay, Saki." Armel took her hand in his. "You can just tell them we don't need them." His words were laced with an arrogance that even had Bae giggling.
"Should we put odds on that?" Kael asked.
"Are you seriously suggesting placing bets on when I will fall pregnant?" Bae asked indignantly.
"Great idea," Ojo said as he clapped his hands together. "I think we'll hear within the week."
"We'll never hear that soon," Bae laughed. "It's just not possible."
"Sure it is. The Kitsune will tell you."
Bae wasn't sure whether to believe her uncle or not.
"I say two weeks," Kael added. "Adelaide?"
Adelaide looked apologetically at her younger sister before she opened her mouth to say, "three weeks."
Armel's eyes were on Bae as he considered her. "Three days," he said after some consideration.
