Landon's POV:
I can't believe I just drove off. I'm a bigger b*stard than even I thought I was and that's saying something. I've always prided myself on my detached nature, but with Aurora, it feels wrong. I feel like I just used her and as good as dumped her. And it doesn't sit well with me.
I consider calling Jarrod. He'd always been a good sounding board, but if I tell him what is on my mind, I'd mess everything up between our families and I don't want him to find out like that. That needs to be done delicately.
Instead, I call Jack.
"Alright mate?"
Jack is grinning, I can tell. Then again, it's the weekend, and he's single at the moment so of course, he's smiling.
"Where are you?"
He's out. I can hear the beat of the music in the background.
"The Kent Mockery of course," he replies. I don't know why I'd even asked. Of course, he'd be at the Kent. It's his pride and joy.
"I'm on my way."
