Chapter 71: Your Breaking My Rules Too

The next week is awful. I spend most of my days holed up with my lawyers going over contracts for P and P and my nights are spent wishing that I could sleep but for some reason sleep completely alludes me.

I haven't eaten much, and there are circles under my eyes that weren't there a week ago.

I try texting her several times, but she doesn't reply.

Each day I find myself getting Henry to take a detour on my way to and from work just so that I can pass her flat; I need to see her. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a bit of a stalker. I feel about as out of control as it is possible to feel.

It isn't until Sunday night that I finally spot her. I'm on the way home from the gym. I tell Henry to stop the car, and I rush to get out the car, literally running down the street until I'm stood in front of her. She tries to walk past me, but I grab her wrist.

"Please."
