Chapter 241: I Never Told My Parents

Michelle's POV:

Surrey, Present Day

"We spent the next four years taking it in turn to visit our parents. I never told my parents about Kenneth or Gabriel and as far as I knew neither did Kenneth."

"You didn't tell them for four years?" Aurora asks, her voice high pitched and shocked.

"The longer I kept the secret, the harder it was to consider breaking it."

Neither of my girls can understand what I did and perhaps they shouldn't be able to understand. It wasn't exactly my best decision. In fact, it was definitely my worst and I've made some shocking choices.

"When I found out I was pregnant with Luca, your grandparents had just asked me to come home."

I held the letter from my parents loosely in my hand, my eyes trained on a bird that was flying just outside the window. Kenneth was at work and our four-year-old son was playing in the living room with his train set.
