Chapter 52

Athena was bored. Somehow all the things she usually did no longer appealed. She didn't feel like helping Demeter in the garden or feeding the animals or playing with Persephone. She certainly didn't feel like getting the dinner ready, and even hunting with Artemis just wasn't the same without Prometheus.

She went with Hestia to the winter camp but Pandora's house was less exciting than she remembered. It never seemed to get any bigger. After the enthusiasm of the first couple of weeks the Titans had largely lost interest, turning up when they felt like it and sloping off when they got bored. She knew how they felt.

Hestia was getting more and more frustrated with the way the work was going and threatened to abandon the building and leave them to it. Athena didn't care. She just decided things were getting a bit uncomfortable at the site and went down to the river to fish.
