Chapter 64

My ears caught an English persuasive voice talking about retirement investing and I remembered the TV was on. I opened my eyes to meet Isamu's still laying on top of me. He brushed a lock of hair away from my forehead.

"Hey, yourself."

"You're beautiful." He kissed the tip of my nose and rolled off. In one quick move, he'd grabbed his yukata and got on his feet to turn off the TV. Then, while fastening his belt he took a look at the table.

Isamu disappeared into the bathroom and re-emerged a few minutes later holding another robe.

"Here." He handed it to me and I smiled. The cotton felt much softer against my skin than the damp towel. I fastened my belt and opened my bento box to find all the veggies had tipped around.

"How do you like the wine?" Isamu asked refilling both our glasses.
