Charlisse feared this question would be raisedexpected it at some point, but truth be told, she had no answer to give that would ease their minds. She felt like David with his slingshot and five stones going up against the giant. All he'd had was his faith in God and his belief that he was following what the Lord had told him to do. And that's all she had as well, for she knew in her heart that God wanted her to rescue Isabel, and that he would provide a way.
"Leave the planning to me, gentlemen," she said with as much authority and confidence as she could muster. "I'll fill you in on the details when we find the Vanquisher."
Moaning, they scowled at her.
"However," she continued, "I intend to make some changes on this ship." Charlisse paced in front of the men as she had seen Merrick do on many occasions. "First of all, every man on board this ship will bathe daily."
