Yuta found himself unable to concentrate. Though cloudy, the day was pleasant enough; the schoolroom was warm enough, and his students were attentive enough. All should be more than enough for him to pursue the tasks he'd set himself for the day. He found himself, though, worrying about Azuki instead. Though she ate well, she remained pale and thinner than she should be, as if she'd had a relapse though she denied it. Hanako plied her with treats, for which Azuki was duly grateful, but didn't seem to enjoy as much as he thought she ought. She was preoccupied, despite the delights of the Tale of Genji, which he'd thought was fascinating enough to keep her fully entertained while she convalesced. He was furious with Shota for vanishing abruptly and disobediently, and the boy had not yet returned, so he worried about Shota, too.
