I found myself sliding away from them, recoiling into the corner. I couldn't help it. The weight of that truth was too hard to process in that moment. Those medieval dark stories of werewolves barged inside my head and panic surged in me. I was a tangle of shock and fear.

"Don't listen to her, Kalista," Lamia said with a tense smile. "She's obviously delusional."
