NARRATIVE of WARD COURIER/EPISODE with RICK REYNARD

Also called the Aurora Expressway, Route 400 is a real highway. In the Cazenovia Creek valley where I was trotting, it curls along a wooded ridge, its two double one-way lanes separated by a median that varies in breadth and elevation. You get some dramatic vantages.
I stayed under the tree cover on the east side of the northbound 400, trying to stay out of sight and yet keep an eye out for Rick's old green Toyota wagon. It should have been easy to connect, but it took several passes and several phone conversations.
