A few days later, Grayson was settling back into work, and Xavier was out of the Intensive Care, although he was still in the hospital. But Grayson was more determined than ever to solve the murders and find out who was behind this mess... once and for all.
“Your Highness.” Arnold cocked his head to the side when he appeared in the doorway. “You sent for me?”
Grayson nodded. “Do you know what kind of bullets Piers used? What kind of gun?”
Arnold looked away, thinking, and then looked up and into Grayson’s eyes. “It was a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol.”
Grayson’s heart stopped, remembering what the detective had said during the investigation. Then he looked at the police report to make sure. “Are you sure?”
Arnold nodded. “Positive. That’s the weapon he used in Afghanistan and his weapon of choice.”
“I thought all of you used Glock 17s?” Grayson asked. “That’s standard issue from the castle.”
