Chapter Thirteen•Fast Times in 85

So Juliet, Dani, Yvonne and I went girls shopping to get over our hangovers, Night Fever was playing when we were in the store, Juliet booed at the song,"So happy that Disco is  beyond dead for like 20 years, but why do they need to try to bring it back?" She said as she was hanging a blouse up,"Y-Yeah so glad that Disco is over" I somewhat agreed with her as Yvonne came here,"What about this off the shoulder shirt" It was purple and Dani walked over,"Maybe with this tiny green belt and the jeans that you're wearing, yes cute"

"I'm getting this, I'll be right back" I chuckled and Juliet came over,"How's you and Danford now?" She asked as she was hanging another piece of clothing up,"We are doing fantastic, we are going to a movie tonight"

"I always thought Johnny was cute" Yvonne spoke her mind and Dani instantly shushed her,"Careful what you say about her man, she might beat you for that" I chuckled and shook my head,"No I wouldn't do that, well not to you Yvonne, but I have thought he was pretty cute….actually pretty sexy, but he was just a friend to me" Juliet put her arms around my shoulders from behind,"And now you're lovers" She put a hat on me and I took it off then put it back on the rack,"You guys hungry?"

"Is Vince Neil hot?" Dani asked us and Juliet answered,"Yes"

"No…..that's a fuck yes Juliet" 

We went to the food court,"That girl at the counter is cute" Juliet said to the group and she pointed her out,"Juliet…..how can you say that?" Yvonne tossed a fry at her,"What? I can't say what I'm thinking about?"

"Well not all the time"

"Oh my God" I made eye contact with Heather and Marcy with the other girls from the cheer squad,"What is it?" Dani asked,"Heather is coming over here now" Heather came over, she was wearing a denim skirt with white shoes, wore pastel colors and her hair in a side ponytail,"Hello girls, how's your day?"

"We're doing great…..Heather" Heather and Juliet didn't exactly end on best terms, Heather spread rumors that Juliet was a hermaphrodite and Juliet spread rumors that Heather was a teen prostitute and was willing to do almost anything, that's High School for ya,"Well that's great to hear, well the gals and I just thought that it would be nice to invite you to our Spring Break Party, bring as many people as you would like, the more the merrier" I smiled,"Thank you for the invitation, that's really thoughtful"

"How's you and Jonathan Danford?" Marcy asked and I said the same answer from earlier,"You two are such an adorable couple, hope I get to see you there" She flashed her cheer smile and turned around,"We're not going to that party" Juliet said to the group and Dani asked,"Why not? They invited us"

"Exactly, only God knows what they're up to" 

"Well I'm going, out of curiosity and plus, if I spend one more Friday Night playing Monopoly with my brother, mom and dad, I'm going to kill myself" Yvonne said to us and Juliet looked over at me,"Are you going?" I shrugged as I was playing with my food,"No clue, don't think John would be up for it, since his parents won't allow him to be with anyone until he's 18"

"Well that's a stupid rule"

"He said it's because they had him when they were 17, barely out of high school, so they don't want the same thing to happen" I said to them and one of them didn't have a smartass answer,"They're a little late on that, dont you think?" We chuckled and we threw our food away to go shopping for accessories,"Dude you need to go this, Johnny boy will love it" Yvonne came over putting the necklace around my neck in the reflection,"You think John will like it?"

"Hon of course he'll love it, he'll love it so much, he'll want to rip it off along with your clothes and score"

"So in other words…." I said to her for her to finish the sentence after she joked around,"It looks amazing on you" 

"Thanks, but no thanks, I'll be okay without it" I put the necklace back on the hook,"Guys, I got news" Juliet came over about to announce her news,"What is it?"

"My folks are splitting up because Daddy found drugs in my mother's side bed cabinet, Opiods and Xanny, he's got a sweet spot in the Northside and I'm moving up there with him"

"Are you transferring schools?" Dani asked as she walked over to her,"Relax, it's not that far. I havent even told you guys until now because there was this custody battle and she lost, forced to go to Rehab, had to sell the shitty apartment and now I get to decorate my own room and have my own bathroom. He's even going to let me have a puppy"

"Seriously, you have the best Dad ever" We said as we walked out and an alarm went off,"You four, hold it right there" We instantly bolted and lost the cop,"What did you guys take?"

"Wasn't me" Yvonne snickered,"I took this hoop earrings and I saw the price" She pulled it out of her pocket to show us the price,"Jesus Christ"

"I know" She was so happy as she was putting them on,"Why did you take them Yvonne" Dani asked in a panic tone,"They were calling out to me, I couldn't resist" We walked out to blend in with the crowd,"What do you think of these babies?"

"They'd be cuter if they were paid" I said to her and she chuckled,"If I had that kind of money, yeah" She laughed with the other girls because one of them made a joke, we were close to the movie theater and we saw Jonathan, wearing his blue crew sweater with a white shirt underneath and jeans to go with his converse,"Hey you" He wrapped his arm around me and kissed me on the forehead,"Hey babe"

"We'll leave you two lovebirds alone, have fun" I waved them bye with a couple bags in my hands,"Oh yeah we'll have fun, in the back" He said to me before he went to go pay for tickets, we got our drinks and popcorn, we went to the back and we got settled in,"How was your day Jon?"

"Fantastic with a capital F, how was yours?" I sighed as I had a piece of popcorn,"Needed this day with the girls, we had a great time and Yvonne shoplifted for a pair of earrings"

"Seriously?"

"Yeah seriously, but we got away" He nodded as he put his arm around me,"Think I got myself a bad girl"

"I thought you were a bad boy Jonathan" He kissed me,"I can be" He said into my ear and I looked around,"Then prove it" He smirked and pulled me closer to him and rubbed his hand on my pants, I had to keep quiet and we started making out, he moved his hands down and well, I guess you know what happened next

After the movie, there was a shuttle coming by,"Mom's here, gotta go" He was about to kiss me and I stopped him by an inch,"Can I just get a ride from you?"

"Don't think that's a good idea" I had a confused look on my face,"She's not going to know, she'll think that we're you know, just friends"

"Think we should lay low until you know, we're in the clear okay babe?" I looked down and nnodded,"Gimme a kiss" I looked up to peck him,"I'll call you later on tonight"

"I love you"

"I love you too" He walked to go to his mom's car, the shuttle bus' honked his horn, I gripped onto my bag and went to the bus,"Hey there little missy"

"Hello" I took out my Walkman and started listening to The Beatles as I saw The Mall slowing disappearing from my eyesight. I came back home and walked into my mother getting ready,"Hey sweetie, Jim is coming this weekend from College" I set my bag down in my room,"So I need you to clean this mess up"

"But most of this is your mess" She walked over with her heels clacking on the floor and they stopped and she was standing in my doorway,"You clean and if you don't, I could keep you locked in here until you're out of here which I am still counting the days" I sighed,"Fine I'll clean up" She smirked and put an earring in as she went back to tease her hair,"Fucking whore" I said under my breath
