She's back

"You could have gone home with Luc, little brother." Lennard said as soon as we returned the horses to the stables.

Only the light bulbs hanging on the roof beams took away the dimness of the place. Kei and the others waited outside for Lennard to take them to the refugee camp.

"There's nothing to do at home anyway." Lavi grumbled.

"Oh? Can't settle down until the maiden gets to her room safely, is that it?" the older brother asked.

"I don't get what you're talking about." Lavi said.

It was during this time when I was trying to take Shire out of the saddlebag on Alis' black steed. I had been pointing my toes since earlier, stretching my arms to dig out my spirit guide that was sleeping on the bottommost part.

"You still haven't gotten him out?" said Alis from behind me.

"Yes, he's so deep inside. I can't reach him." I answered in between grunts.

"I'll do it." The Crown Prince offered.
