Attained a scar

My body felt heavy. Sore. As if I had thousands of bruises all over me.

A cloudy view of crimson hair greeted me the moment I opened my eyes. I rose, only to be brought down by a massive weight that had my head crashing back to the pillows.

Hmm? What's with this strong sense of déjà vu?

"What, you in a hurry to meet death?"

My eyes flickered to adjust my vision and I saw Althea looming down at me with a blank expression.

I caught my forehead with a hand as I gradually rose upright and leaned on the headboard.

With a grunt, Althea placed more pillows on my back. She doesn't seem to be annoyed, though. If anything, she looked like she was finally able to breathe after a long time.

I roamed my gaze and found that we were in my room. And I was on my bed. The curtains were closed and the candles on the tables and on the floor were the only source of light as they casted giant shadows around us. Did they think I was going to die?
