I wasn't sure anymore which was more grueling, the physical challenges William had put me up to or the entire flight of stairs that led to the topmost level of the East tower. The only thing I was sure of was both had drained almost all the energy I had left for the afternoon.

After having lunch with the twins in the field in front of the academy, we'd gone to our separate ways. The two were in their second year, so they had classes—normal classes—to attend to. If I were an average student, we would have been classmates. But I didn't think badly or complain about it, I've come to accept the terms long ago that it was impossible for me to live a common life.
