1 - Draekaan1700 - God's Will

HEY Wattpad peoples! I'm Samuel Roberts, formerly Draekaan1700 here, the author of what used to be Transparent. It's great to be writing in with Connor today. I've known him for quite a while (Gosh, it's been like two years almost, hasn't it Connor? Like June 2017), and we've both prayed for and talked to each other quite a bit about these kinds of things.

Connor asked me to share what I'd been learning and experiencing with God lately, so I'm going to do that.

So I'm gonna start with a precursor...

Rewind to 2016. Summer, I'm walking down the hallway of some church...Where I would first see the person who I still can't get out of my mind to this day. I'm 14 at the time, can't really do much. Wasn't till later that I realized she had a boyfriend.

Great.

Didn't do much to my drive, only tormented my mind for roughly a year because it was torture to watch them together. But eventually, they broke up, about late 2017. And I pumped my fist. Too early.

Early 2018, I want to go say something to her. I'm 16 at the time. She's 18. So first thing I do is ask my dad...Cause nothing's happening without his clearance. But that got shot down pretty fast. I can't say anything till I'm either 18 or making 20k+ a year.

Fast-forward a couple months. She's got another boyfriend---This one my best friend's brother and my friend.

...

I'm still coping with this and learning from it, but I have learned some things. The first is that it doesn't matter what we think. God's will is the one that comes out. God's will trumps our will, 100% of the time. Proverbs says "Many are the plans of a man's heart...But the Lord establishes his steps". We're not going anywhere without God's clearance.

It sounds harsh, but really, it's not. Why? Because God's will not only trumps ours, it's the BEST thing for us. If I had said anything at the time I'd wanted to, things would've ended up worse for me because they were already interested in each other. I can't imagine what complications and teenage drama that would've caused.

And it's not over yet. I learned some valuable things recently, but the story isn't completely told. I still don't know what amazing things God has planned...And they could be greater than I can imagine.

So that was it, short and sweet. To anyone who I would converse with frequently on here, specifically medievalmade715, I MISS YOU ALL!!! There are really complicated reasons that I had to get off, mostly involving Transparent, but they had nothing to do with you guys. If I can ever come back, I will!
