Foreword

Hello guuuuys!

So, this short novel has finally come to an end! This was actually quite the journey for me, considering this was my very first story to write and actually upload on a platform hahahahaha

I would just like to thank my friends who supported me (char) @/kate hahahha and ofc @/sadie asdfghjkl

It was very fun to start out with the idea of this story but it only dawned upon me, as I was actually beginning to write it, that damn writing isn't actually as easy as I had initially thought it was omg hahahaha I even came to a point where I was thinking of deleting it because I really didn't know how to articulate my thoughts in a way that could actually be understood by what would soon become my readers!

But I do say, writing this was a very fun experience! It was very enjoyable to think of the plot - who would die next, and how - and initially, I had actually thought of giving life to more characters. I had originally thought of creating 10 individuals who were stuck on the island, but as I continued toponder on that idea, I later realized that would've just been more work and a higher challenge for me who had just started out writing stories!

I ultimately decided to cut the character count in half and voila! this is what had become of my chaotic thoughts hahahah

Also, if it wasn't through writing this, I never would have imagined that writing a thousand words would only be considered "short" for a chapter, damn. I used to think writing a thousand was already really long but with the help of my younger cousin who had gorgeously volunteered to grant me her opinions as she read my story before some others, she had let me known that my chapters were actually quite short; and that, honestly, had kind of shocked me ahahhaha

Writing like this really gives you a new perspective in the art of literature. It made me understand how difficult it actually is being a writer and I have no shame in saying, it had actually given me a new-found respect for all the other writers out there, greenhorn or seasoned veteran.

As a beginner writer, I'd just like to share that writing is no piece of cake, but it's not like I expected myself to be good right off the bat anyway. I do look forward to writing more things in the future and to my growth as a writer as I continue to learn about the art of literature, and as I get to interact with my current and future readers as well.

I know this foreword sounds a bit like me just talking about my experience writing my first story but that's because I don't really have a lot of people to thank right now. I'm all alone in working on this and I really have nothing else to say, but you're a reader that managed to make it this far anyway, then I'd like to give you the biggest biggest biggest thank you for actually reading and supporting my debut as a writer hahahahhah

Now I close this work as I let you all know how grateful I actually am to have gone through this experience and to have such wonderful support from my readers, even if I had just started out and you're probably just like a handful of them hahaha I'm still grateful for u guys and I love you guys so so much uwu hahhaha so yes, guess I'll say good bye for now.
