The Start of the Banquet

Sylvia has just arrived at the banquet. She gets out of the car and is greeted by her grandfather.

Papa/chairman: Hello my beautiful grandaughter

Sylvia: Hello papa.

Papa/ Chairman: Are you ready to go in?

Sylvia: As ready as I'll ever be.

Sylvia and her grandfather walk through the hotel lobby into the banquet hall. When Sylvia walks into the room she is holding on to her grandfather's arm and is immediately amazed about how fancy the room is. This is the first banquet that she has ever attended. While walking with her grandfather she looks around the room and realizes that everyone is staring at her

Sylvia: *Whispers* Papa, what is everyone staring at?

Papa/Chairman: Well, they are staring at you, my dear.

Sylvia: *Whispers* Why are they all staring at me.

Papa/ Chairman: *Whispers* It's of course because you are the CEO and heir to the currently biggest and most popular entertainment company.

A man then approached them.

Mr. Rodgers: Hello Kenneth.

Papa/ Chairman: Hello Thomas. Sylvia, this is a buddy of mine. His name is Thomas Rodgers.

Mr. Rodgers: Hello miss Johnson. You must be Kenneth's granddaughter.

Sylvia: Hello Mr. Rodgers. You can just call me Sylvia. And it is very nice to meet you.

Mr. Rodgers: Same here. Your dress is so pretty and you are just amazingly beautiful.

Sylvia: Thank you.

Mr. Rodgers: Well, I'll be off then.

Papa/ Chairman: See you later, Thomas.

Mr. Rodgers steps away and heads to another group of people to talk to

Papa/ Chairman: Isn't he nice?

Sylvia: Yes but, he seemed so fake.

Papa/ Chairman: Yeah. Thomas is an old buddy of mine but, even he thinks he has to suck up to me.

As Sylvia and her grandfather are talking a man and a woman come up to them looking very excited. The woman even gives Sylvia a big hug.

Mrs. Green: Hello my darling! You are even prettier in real life.

Then woman the woman lets go of Sylvia.

Mr. Green: It's so nice to finally meet our future daughter-in-law.

Sylvia: *turning to her grandfather* Daughter-in-law?

Mrs. Green: Oh, we have never met in person so you don't know us. My name is Taylor Green and this is my husband Richard Green.

That's when Levi walks up and stands next to Mrs. Green.

Mrs. Green: Oh and I think you already met our son Levi earlier today.

Levi sticks out his hand.

Levi: Hello, Ms. Johnson.

Sylvia then shakes Levi's hand.

Sylvia: Hello, Mr. Green.

Levi: It's nice to see you again.

Sylvia: Same here.

Papa/ Chairman: Levi, why don't you walk Sylvia around and introduce her to people while your parents and I chat.

Levi: Yes sir.

Sylvia hesitates to go with Levi but her grandfather nudges her to go.

Sylvia and Levi walk around the banquet for a little bit.be speaking to each other.

Levi: So are we just going to wander around without talking to each other it anybody else?

Sylvia: Well, what is there to say to each other?

Levi: I mean...

Sylvia: You mean what?

Levi: We could talk about our marriage and how our wedding is going to look like.

Sylvia: You don't seem to have put it through your thick skull earlier that we are not getting married.

Levi: Why don't we date for a while and see how it goes then.

Sylvia: Absolutely, not!

Levi: But-

Sylvia: Why do you want to get married so badly? You don't even know me. I could be crazy for all you know.

Levi: I have known you grandpa for a little while and I trust his judgment on that you will be a good match for me.

Sylvia: Based solely on business benefits.

Levi: Again I say let's date and see where it goes.

Sylvia: And again I say no.
