Ch.2 Saved

As the two Fairy Tail guild mages wondered what to do, Jax had stopped feeling pain as he was now in a bright white space. Nothing was present in the white area. No matter how far he looked into the distance, he could only ever see a white light. However, everything stopped as ten statues with five grooves in each of them appeared in front of him.

Each statue had a different picture engraved on it. The first one was white, and just by approaching it, Jax could feel a gust of wind blowing through his hair. As he touched it, he understood that the statues the silver-haired-boy saw were seals, and the one he touched was the seal of air magic.

The next one was of the colour blue, and as he approached it, he could feel himself get a little wet, which he understood to be the seal of water. Afterwards, he continued to look at the other seals. The brown seal was of the earth magic. The red seal was of the fire magic. The orange seal was of lightning. The purple seal was of the sound. The pink one was a fairy or healing magic. The green one was of nature magic followed by a yellow and a black seal, which represented light and dark magic.

After he went through the ten different magic seals, an immense pressure fell on him as the seals one after another entered his mind through his forehead. As each of them entered, he received information on the magic as it crammed itself in his mind as the seals entered without any stops.

As Jax had a massive headache, a soothing wave passed through him, which seemed to have healed his headache as he instantly calmed down and asked himself.

'How can I see? They dug out my eyes.' He thought with a frown on his face.

However, as if the white space knew what he was thinking, a mirror appeared right in front of him, and for the first time in his life, he could see himself.

He had long silver hair that reached in the middle of his back, fair but dirty skin as he could only clean himself with a water bucket they gave him once every week. At the beginning of the ritual, the mages had torn off his clothes, so he didn't wear any. So, one could see how skinny he was. However, the most striking were the two pale blue eyes.

As Jax was looking at himself, he looked in the white void in front of him and asked what was on his mind. "Who are you? And thank you!"

However, the only reply Jax received was a single written sentence that appeared in front of him.

"If you want to know who I am, collect the five pearls for each of the ten seals, and we will meet."

As the being simply waved off the thanks he gave, Jax understood that he finally had a goal for the future as long as he managed to leave the underground lab.

A moment later, a bright white light appeared in his vision, which blinded him and forced him to close his eyes.

As he opened his eyes, still lying down on the ritual stone, he was surprised to see that none of the mages came to torture him for a bit before moving him. However, he understood as he turned his head to the right and saw the unconscious dark mages and two unknown mages dressed in what he could guess to be ordinary clothes as they weren't wearing any mage robes.

As Jax frowned, wondering who they were, both of them came forward and helped him break the bindings which were holding him. Immediately, as he was wondering if they would let him leave freely, they started to talk to him.

"Hey kid, are you okay?" The man with a cigar in his mouth asked as he finished unbinding him.

"Y-Y-Yes, I-I am F-Fine," Jax answered the man as he turned to try to get up.

Jax had learned how to talk in the few years the mages had imprisoned him. Thanks to it, he had been able to speak with the other kids around him. Once, there weren't enough cells, so they had mixed the children, and his cellmate had been kind enough to teach him how to talk since he knew before being imprisoned. Unfortunately, only six months later, he was taken for a ritual and never came back. However, the last time he had managed to talk to someone was a long time ago, as the other children in the cells never had the energy to talk too much. Moreover, usually, the first ones tortured by the mages were the ones talking.

"So, can you tell us what happened here?" The other man asked as nicely as he could.

"T-They captured us to do experiments on how to awaken the magical potential of people without any magic. They have been testing rituals on me and the others for a long time, and I am the last one alive. The others all died at some point." Jax said as he pointed to the ground, which was completely red from dried blood.

The two mages, hearing his words, looked sick as they looked around in extreme disgust and fear as they saw the dried blood all around them. Afterwards, they looked at the young boy, sitting there silently without moving an inch, fearing that they would kidnap him to continue testing on him.

"Kid, do you know where your parents are?" The man with a cigar asked while Jax was looking down at his hands.

"No, I have been here for as long as I remember," Jax answered their question with no emotion in his voice as he wasn't sad to be unaware of who his parents were. Anyway, it wasn't as if he knew them or had any feelings for them.

"I see. Can you tell me where the cells are? I'll go and verify whether there is someone left here or not." The other man asked, to which Jax simply pointed to a door that led underground to the cells.

As that man left, the other man with a cigar stayed next to Jax and continued to talk with him as his companion went to verify the underground lab.

"So kid, what's your name? I'm Wakaba, a mage from the Fairy Tail guild." He said, trying to start a conversation with Jax.

"I'm Jax." He answered lightly to the man from the Fairy Tail guild. From the moment he heard that the man was from Fairy Tail, he visibly relaxed as he had listened to the dark mages saying that the Fairy Tail wizards were a pain in the ass and that the light guilds were their enemies, in other words, good people.

"I see. Nice to meet you, Jax. Now can you tell me whether you can use magic after the ritual? The dark mages seemed excited when you were in the light sphere." Wakaba asked carefully and while giving a side glance to Jax.

"Yes, now, I can use magic," Jax said while lifting and turning his palm, making a small tornado appear in the palm of his hand before it extinguished by itself. Unknown to Jax, when he used his magic, in the first groove of the air magic seal, a small dot of white appeared in the previously grey track.

"Jax, considering that you don't know where your family is, what do you plan to do? Do you want to come back with us to Fairy Tail?" Wakaba asked, seeing that he could use magic.

"Sure," Jax answered with no expression while nodding his head. He didn't have anywhere else to go currently, and he had heard from some children that Fairy Tail was a good guild that wouldn't let him suffer the same pain he had felt while being stuck in this dark place.

As Wakaba's partner came back from the underground with a pale look, the three left along with the mages, and after leaving, the man with blue hair, known as Macao, waited for the rune knights to come and take the prisoners away.

Once Macao and Wakaba's job was completed, and they received their payment, the two mages along with Jax left, and they made their way towards Magnolia to their guild, Fairy Tail.

---Author note

When the two mages arrived, they saw two eyes next to the head of Jax but never said that there were no eyes as the eyes had already regenerated when the light appeared.

Finally, I hope you liked it, and yeah, it's going to be a story of a Fairy Tail guild mage cause, well, the original story was about Fairy Tail, and I want to create fanfiction, not a new story
