The Beginning - part II

Pain, just pain. It was all I felt as I saw the darkness taking over my mind. This is not how I imagined my death. Considering that I lived for 247 years, death did not seem so far away. I honestly imagined that everything would end after my death and that my soul would be sent to paradise for my eternal rest.

But for a game of the skies or a twist of fate (no matter which option considering how frustrated I am), I reincarnated in the body of Gu Xiaolan, a girl eighteen years old who fell down the stairs after finishing the entrance exam. How do I know that, well, I've spent the last two hours absorbing your memories and the last hour accepting that in fact I I reincarnated. To worsen my mood, my new family are people I could undo if I could.

It all started six months ago when they found out that Gu Xiaolan, an orphan girl was actually the daughter of Gu An, owner of a relatively powerful company and Lan Moxin, his wife and daughter of a family of politicians.

They had two children, Gu Tian and Gu Xiaolan, but Xiaolan was replaced in the nursery by Gu Nan, who became the beautiful lady of the Gu family.

Despite being their biological daughter, they brought her home as an illegitimate daughter so as not to hurt the feelings of their beloved daughter Gu Nan. Because of this, Gu Xiaolan, who was raised in an orphanage and only because of her good grades, managed to get a scholarship at a prestigious school, was humiliated both at school and at home.

Her older brother treated her coldly and her parents alienated. Gu Nan on the other hand treated her like an enemy, like a thief who came to take her place.

Because of this, his personality became more introverted, and he made an even greater effort in his studies to enter a university and leave home.

This clearly angered Gu Nan who was in 12th place in the school placement while Xiaolan moved up to 3rd place.

Out of jealousy, Gu Nan tore her notebooks, broke her pens and scribbled on her books, but none of that got into her parents' eyes who clearly didn't care how she was doing.

Persisting for months until the entrance exam, she successfully completed the exams and left the room in a good mood, but was pushed by a hand and eventually fell down a flight of stairs and fell into a coma.

The original host couldn't stand it and passed away, and then Archmage Lu Xiaolan entered his body.

After evaluating his options and thinking about what to do, he decided to rest and leave everything for later, since this body was weak because he had been sleeping for two days without eating anything.

unfortunately, his rest went down the drain when Lan Moxin and Gu Nan entered the room.
