"For our last performer let's call master wang Bai!" Teacher xin called out. Immediately the president zhineng and yang lianhua cheered for him which earned a gossiping look from the crowd. President Zhou's smile stiffened at their reactions but yang lianhua as outgoing as she is didn't care even a bit and even shouted her good luck to Xiao Bai.

Ah must be good to be like hua-jie, Xiao Bai thought with an awkward smile on his face.

When he reached the pavilion he sat in a lotus position and placed his guqin in front of him. The guqin he brought with him was a very exquisite wood, with lotus carved into the sides and the center.

As if nature was Xiao bai's supporter, it sent gentle breezes that lightly carried the lotus closer to him and also revealing the koi fishes where the lotuses parted. The breeze also swayed his flowing hair giving more majestic effect. At this point the audience won't be surprised if he was an immortal who descended in the mundane world to at least let them witness such an otherworldly beauty.

They couldn't help but hold their breathes. It was like they were inside a fantasy or rather in a dream. The feeling was very fleeting. XuWei was only staring at him not daring to miss any second of it. He knew it, Xiao Bai will always shine once given a chance.

Xiao Bai took a deep breathe to calm his nerves. He plucked a few chords to test it, finally closing his eyes to find the right feeling.

The song he chose to play was 'Xianyun' [1]. The songs tells about a person who is willing to do anything just so his beloved would at least glance at. Go back to his arms. Feel his warmth once again.

Finally he started playing. His voice accompanied by the gentle sounds of the guqin travelled through the wind and entered their hearts.

Xiao bai finally ended. Just then he realized that he was crying. Was he crying while playing earlier? No. However once he was done, the tears that he was holding was released and he immediately became a mess.

The song was too emotional for him. It felt like his soul was reverating with it, he was shaking all over. Especially his heart that was like breaking into pieces.

Earlier when he started playing, it felt like everything around him seem to fade away. He was seriously fine when he was practicing but why did he feel like this now?

It was like, he found the source of why he was playing this piece.

Even though Xiao Bai was finding it hard to breath, he still find the strength to search XuWei in the crowd when he remembered what he said.

XuWei was also staring at him with a sorrowful eyes. XuWei felt pained seeing him like this, but what shook his soul the most was how he was so affected, he was feeling restless all over. He just want to go and hug him saying that he was finally here, that Xiao Bai doesn't have to wait a lifetime. That it was not Xiao bai's fault but his.

And now seeing that Xiao Bai purposely looked for him. It was his last strand of control. XuWei immediately took his steps towards the pavilion.

Xiao bai's eys widened at the scene. And when XuWei finally arrived in front of him, he couldn't help but lower his head to hide the emotions in his eyes.

"Xiao Bai, it's all okay now." XuWei said with a very gentle, firm, and reassuring voice then bended his knees to Xiao bai's level.

This words unexpected calmed him down. He felt secured. Secured from all the sorrow of life. Secured in this man's side. He slowly look up and met xuwei's gentle and caring eyes. He couldn't help but subconsciously smile. XuWei also smiled at him, took his guqin and supported him up.

It was they were the only ones in the world and everything is just a decoration. They couldn't even hear the cheers of the people.

"Xiao Bai, what was that? Was that your original composition? You're so good!" Yang lianhua rushed to xiao bai as soon as they arrived.

"Ah yes. Thank you hua-jie." Xiao bai awkwardly said. This was not my composition though. But I can't tell them that it was from another world in a different era, he thought.

"Xiao Bai, that was amazing." President zhou also joined while clapping his hands.

And all of a sudden many people came to him.

When all was done, Xiao Bai and his team all decided to do home early. The students who are walking or just idling are talking, the topic was of course the performances earlier.

And of course, the main highlight was Xiao Bai. And his fame rised to another level. Since it was an academic activity, teacher Xin didn't announced some rankings, he just graded them then that's it. However the students union are very crafty and suggested that they should vote for their favorite and drop it on a box that they placed infront of that main gate, and the winner will be announced in two days.

President zhou also promised that the winner will perform once again. Currently XuWei and Xiao Bai was fighting for the first place. Xiao bai's piece was unique and the message of the song was also very deep however it was a new, while xuwei's piece was very well-known, and because it was well-known sometimes the required emotions are not present but XuWei captured it perfectly.

They were both good and they deserve it. On the second place was mingxue, third was yuan xiangxin, ruo lan, and dingwu. This was just what they've heard though, the bow was not yet opened so they really could't tell.

However this gossip reached Yuan XiangXin and Lou Ziyan to start their endless quarrel once again. Because of all that's happened Xiao Bai almost forgot that this two mortal enemies are his classmates.

While the five of them were walking, countless eyes were pinned towards them. We'll who wouldn't? A group of handsome young masters who are intelligent, and also good at music.

"Young masted Bai, your performace was very amazing. I even cried when you reached the chorus." Ruo Lan said.

"You cry at everything that has a sad time." Mingxue roasted at him.

"He's right." Dingwu supported mingxue.

"Why are the two of you teaming up against me?" Ruo lan pointed at them.

Mingxue ignored this child but dingwu just laughed and made an innocent face, "We're saying the truth though."

Ruo lan just rolled his eyes and sneered at him. "That just means that I am very perceptive and sensitive to the emotions of the artists."

Dingwu just nodded, holding his laugh. And they played around until they arrived at their destination.

"Good bye." XuWei bidded.

"Mn. See you all tomorrow." Xiao Bai said.

And they all parted their ways.
