Conversing with Dylan.

Dylan had permitted Mark to question him by saying, 'it's time to clear your curiosities'. And Mark was surely gonna bombard him with questions until he understands every detail of how Dylan discovered him and came to know a lot about him. He had been meeting with people who seem to recognize how talented he was as an artiste as of recent, people who appreciated his music.

First, it was the female host who interviewed him at the 'Music extra', she recognized how talented he was as an artiste and that's what prompted her to interview him. Secondly, it was the young, talented, and wealthy actor named Andrew. He recognized how talented Mark was and appreciated his music so much that he had to invite Mark over to his house to inform him about the disadvantages of being famous.

Thirdly, nine of his female fans loved his music so much and were crazy about him that they had to come to the studio to watch him record. Now, it was Dylan, a music producer that claimed to know a lot about him and wants to help him achieve his heart desires. He won't waste this moment with Dylan as he was sure to question him a lot and satisfy his curiosities. Mark sipped his whipped cream making use of the straw that came with it while Dylan poured some contents of orange juice into the glass cup and began sipping also.

Mark rubbed his two palms together in preparation before speaking,

"You said you knew how talented I was as an artiste before sending that beat to me. I want to ask, how did you discover me? how did you discover my songs? 'cause I know am ain't popular at all".

Dylan grinned a little before saying, "I discovered one of your songs through one of the music streaming platforms while I was streaming songs that evening. I knew at once that the singer of the song must be really special and talented after listening to the song. I had to go try out some of your other songs 'cause I knew they would be as amazing as the first one, and I wasn't disappointed 'cause they were all great tunes. I kept on wondering to myself, why hasn't this artiste blown up yet? why hasn't he attained fame? but I got no answers, all these events took place some two years ago".

"Two years ago?". A bewildered Mark asked.

"Yeah, two years ago, that's when I discovered you and I've been trailing you secretly since then. I was present at your performance at the 'VIP CITY GATHERING, and I noticed your countenance when people weren't responding favorably to your performance on stage. I was also there at your performance at Brandon's concert, and I noticed the little fight that almost occurred between you and John, do you know him before?".

Mark opened his mouth in awe as Dylan said these things, Dylan had really been stalking him.

"So you mean you were also present at these events where I performed?". Mark queried him ignoring the question he asked.

"Yeah, I was present there, I was among the crowds at the 'VIP CITY GATHERING'. But I was at the backstage of the event at Brandon's concert throughout the beginning and climax of the event. I have also trailed you to some other shows and concerts you've performed at in the past". Dylan clarified.

"But why didn't you cheer my name and sing along with me while I performed since you know my songs and recognized me as an artiste?". Mark inquired.

"No one was cheering your name and singing along with you while you performed, so if I was the only one that sang along and cheered your name during your performance, it would seem like I was the fool among the crowds. But it hurt me a lot that you weren't receiving the type of attention you were supposed to be receiving from the crowds". Dylan expressed.

"That exactly how my life is, putting much energy into performing on stage but not receiving it back from the crowds, it is very painful. Sometimes I deceive myself into thinking that I have gotten used to it, but no, it still saddens me a lot". Mark said expressing himself.

"You expressed them all at the 'Music extra' show".

"You watched my interview at the music extra?"

"Yeah, I did, you expressed the pains upcoming artistes go through, the anxiety that engulfs them when they are about to perform on stage. How you lost the motivation to record and drop songs sometimes because of low streams. The cause of your father's death and so on".

"Wow! you've really been stalking me". Mark stated.

Dylan smiled as he took a sip of his orange juice, "Yeah, I have been respectfully stalking you. I was stalking you but I didn't make it known to you, you never discovered that I was trailing you".

"Why didn't you just approach me and tell me how much you loved my music and why you wanna help me achieve my heart desires instead of trailing me?". Mark queried.

"I didn't know the right time to do that, so I kept on postponing it". Dylan retorted.

"How did you know I was in that taxi yesterday?".

"I was driving home that evening before I sighted you boarding a taxi, so I decided to follow the taxi to wherever it drops you so I could finally reveal myself to you".

"Hmmm, you said you are a music producer right? for how long have you been producing music? because it seems that you ain't among the top producers in USA".

"I have been producing music for about seven years now. I started my production career immediately after I graduated from college at the age of 24 and I'm 31 years presently, that's amounting to 7 years".

"You are 31 years old?". Mark asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, I am 31years old, any problem?"

"You look way younger than your age".

Dylan smiled, "It's nature, I have been told that a lot of times. There is a surprising stuff I am about to reveal to you right now".

"What is it?". Mark asked inquisitively.

"Are you aware of the hit song, 'Classy'?".

"Yeah, that's a song by Clark, the young dancer".

"I produced that song". Dylan said finally dropping the bombshell.

"You don't mean it!" Mark said in total disbelief.

"I do, I produced that song, I am also the one that produced another of Clark's hit song, 'A flip of time'. Not only that, Kendricks hit single titled 'She is pompous' that lasted in the music billboard chart for almost 4 months, I produced that also. I have also produced songs for upcoming artistes, underground artistes and so on".

"Wow! you are really a gifted and talented producer, how come people didn't get to recognize you more as a producer after creating those great songs".

"That's what some music producers go through sometimes, when a great song is released, people praise the artiste that sang the song forgetting that a producer assisted in creating such a great tune. More credit goes to the artiste, very few go to the producer". Dylan explained filling his glass cup with juice.

"Hmmm, that's true, a straight fact". Mark uttered.

*Ring *Ring *Ring

Mark's phone ringed and the caller ID indicated that it was Ben calling. It then dawn on Mark that he was supposed to be at the studio right now with Ben for the recording of Harry's album and to get acquainted with him also. It skipped his mind totally, he was busy thinking about the conversation that would take place between him and Dylan, how to clear his curiosities. The worst part of it was that he promised Ben to be there by today, but he failed, he didn't keep to his promise.

His phone kept ringing but he didn't pick it up, he didn't want to apologize to Ben for not being present at the studio through a phone conversation. He planned to go to Ben's house later in the evening to apologize for not keeping to his promise. If not that he was still curious about some things that he wants to get answers to from Dylan, he would have headed over to the studio right now, but satisfying his curiosities comes first.

"Why ain't you picking your phone call?". Dylan asked as he noticed that Mark was ignoring the call.

"It's nothing much, just my favorite music producer that is calling. I promised him that I was gonna be present at the studio today for the recording of some songs that are gonna be on Harry's upcoming album. But I'm here with you now, that's to indicate that I didn't keep to my promise. I'm sure that's the main reason why he is calling". Mark explained.

"Then you should head over to the studio right now to meet him". Dylan abruptly said.

"Don't worry about that, I and him are gonna settle this later, we are close pals. I can't leave yet, am ain't done with my questions".

"Before you proceed with your questions, I have a question to ask also. This favorite producer of yours, is it the one you spoke of at your interview with the 'Music extra?". Dylan inquired of Mark.

"Yes, he is the one". Mark responded as he was a bit confused why Dylan asked that question.
