She won.

All the eight contestants came on stage, plus Darcy and the other male contestant, amounting to ten of them.....6 males and 4 females. There were different expressions on their faces, some were scared that they would get eliminated from the contest 'cause they knew that other contestants rapped better than them. Some had that look on their faces that depicts, 'I know that my performance was outstanding, I can't get eliminated'. While some kept a balanced expression, they weren't too sure of themselves and they weren't scared either.

The woman in gown brought out an iPad from the large purse she was holding in her hand. She looked at the screen for some seconds, sighed a little, then said to the contestants,

"Getting eliminated this moment doesn't mean your rapping style wasn't good, all of you here are talented rappers. But you know, some must be better than others. And this is not based on our judgement, this is based on the number of votes you got from the audience. So don't feel too bad when you get eliminated, as I said earlier, you guys are all talented rappers".

After climaxing with that statement, she faced the crowds and addressed them with a little speech once again. Her voice was audible enough for everyone to hear 'cause she had a 'lavaliere microphone' clipped to the neck of her gown and positioned well to her mouth.

"And even if some gets eliminated right now, they are still gonna receive a certain amount of money for participating in this contest".

After making that statement, she glanced back to the screen of the iPad in her hand, sighed again, and began mentioning the names of the contestants that were to be eliminated from the contest. As she mentioned their names, the expression on their faces indicates that they were saddened that their names got on the elimination list. But at least, they were gonna receive money for participating in the rap contest...that's something to be happy about.

And also, the woman in gown had reassured them that they were all talented rappers....and that's true. By the time the woman was done mentioning their names, it was remaining five contestants that were to make it to the next phase of the competition.....three males and two females. And five also got eliminated, three males and two females.

The lady glanced at the five contestants that got eliminated and said to them,

"It was nice having you guys participate in this contest. The fact that you guys auditioned for it online and got chosen shows that you all are gifted rappers. Lots of people auditioned for it, but you were selected out of the many people...it really is a great privilege, so don't feel too sad about it". The lady was good at soothing people's hearts and boosting morales. To show that her words reached their hearts, a smile could be seen on each of their faces already.

The five contestants left the stage sauntering into the broad door. The woman in gown and the remaining five contestants that were to make it to the second phase of the contest were the ones remaining on stage. And surely, Darcy was among them, she was to make it to the next round of the contest. The woman in gown glanced at her iPad once again, faced the crowds, and began uttering,

"Now, these are the remaining five contestants that are to make it the second and final round of this contest. They are gonna be doing the same stuff, each of them is to display their rapping skills to you guys once again.....but this time, adding more efforts to become the winner of this contest. You guys are gonna do well to vote, that's what will determine the winner of this contest. But before that, I and the five contestants are going to go inside for some little preparation.....then, they'll be back with the blast".

They all sauntered into the broad door, After 7 minutes, the woman in gown came out from the door once again. With a smile on her face, she said to the crowds,

"It's about time for their performances on stage, it's gonna be lit, don't forget to vote. Let's welcome the first contestant on stage".

She evacuated the stage after making that statement giving way for the first contestant to perform. The contestant came on stage, and something seems to be different, he had changed attire. He strolled to where the DJ was standing and told him the kind of rap beat he wanted, and the DJ played exactly what he requested for.

This was the final round of the rap contest, all the five contestants would have to put in their best efforts hoping to emerge as the winner. And that's exactly what the guy did, he rapped with all the energy in him, he put in his best, he made sure his performance was flawless....he tried his very best. One thing was for sure, his rapping was much better than his previous one, it was evident that he put in his very best into it.

And that's how it went by for the rest of the three contestants that performed after him. Each of them had changed attires when they came on stage, and they put in their very best when rapping.....each of them wanted to emerge as winner of the contest. The last contestant that was to perform was Darcy, yeah, she was the last and final contestant. She emerged on stage with the microphone in her hand, she had changed outfits also. She wore black hooded clothing, black jean trousers, and a black sneaker to match it all.....she was dressed in all black.

Why each of the contestants changed outfits for the second phase of the contest, the audience had no single idea of. Darcy sauntered to where the DJ was standing and whispered into his ear the kind of rap beat she wanted, and he nodded his head as an indication that he understood exactly what she wanted. He played the beat, and yeah, it was exactly the kind of beat she needed. She breathed deeply before she began rapping.

She rapped with all the power and agility in her, and once again, her rapping came out outstanding. Her rapping style was just so different and unique, that act of rapping rapidly than slowing down its pace abruptly...it was so pleasant to the ears. Her rapping style wasn't new stuff to the rapping industry, but she did hers more uniquely. She concluded with her rapping, and again, she received a thunderous round of applause from the crowds.

Each of the contestants put in their best into their performances, the audience had played their part by voting.....who was gonna emerge as winner of the contest? well, we are gonna find the answer to that. The woman in gown sauntered out of the large door with the four contestants following her from behind. She had a broad smile plastered to her face the moment she came on stage. Facing the crowds, she said,

"I'm sure you guys enjoyed the performances of the five contestants.....I want an answer please".

Some replied to her saying, "Yes we did", While the others said, "Sure".

With that smile still plastered to her face, she continued with her statement,

"Each of them has given us the very best of their performances, they rapped with all the vigor in them.....and you guys have done your part by casting your votes. Now it's about time for me to announce the winner of this rap contest. The winner is gonna receive an amount of 5 thousand dollars and a medal".

Each of the five contestants had a type of troubled expression on their faces....they craved to emerge as winner of this contest. The woman stared at the screen of her iPad for some seconds, glanced back at the crowds, and uttered,

"The winner of this contest is.....Darcy".

Darcy couldn't believe her ears when the woman mentioned her name as the winner, she was deeply happy internally. She had been able to show the crowds how good of a rapper she was, and that's what prompted most of them to vote for her making her emerge as the winner. She had proved to Mark that she wasn't close to being a wack rapper. All the four contestants shook hands with Darcy congratulating her for emerging as winner of the competition.

The woman in gown walked to where Darcy was standing and put on the gold medal on her neck and said to her,

"You deserve to emerge as winner of this contest".
