Tale 23: The anointed water

Since the beginning of the year, Alex and I have been talking more, like great friends. In one of these conversations, he remembers his sick mother and cries. I kissed his face and comforted him.

- I don't know what else to do! - he says desperately.

- You are a good son, taking care of your mother with affection, at home, in the hospital; you are always present! - I speak calmly.

- I feel guilty! I think she got sick because I didn't give her the attention she needed!

- Do not feel this way! We are not to blame for what bacteria do! You were always with your mother! I admire this beautiful love you have for her.

He continued to cry and I kissed his face once more.

- Ana, you are an angel that God put in my life. I am sure of this! Looking back, I realize how many times you have advised and helped me.

- On one of those nights, praying for you, an angel said that right now you needed a friend and asked me to support you. I will continue helping you!

- I don't know how to thank you, I have nothing to give you in return!

- I don't want anything in return, neither here nor up there! - I speak pointing to the sky, and continue. - I help people without expecting anything!

And an angel says: "Say it! He needs to hear!"

- I'll tell you something ... I like you a lot!

- I like you a lot too, more than you think!

He calms down.

- Today is no-drive day, I need to go. - I say.

- Go now, otherwise you are going to get a ticket.

We hugged each other and I went home. The next morning, Alex says he is doing better and that his anxiety level has dropped a lot. We talked a little more and started the work. It will be a long day.

Months go by ... Alex has gone to the hospital many times and even exhausted, he always took care of his mother with dedication. His love for his mother was like a father's love for a daughter: unconditional!

One morning, Alex did not come to the office; I found it strange because he was never absent. I got worried and sent him a message asking how his mother was doing.

- Good morning, Ana. I am in the hospital. I am in a rush, my mother has a strong infection. Imagine the madness that is happening in my life! - he answers.

- I'll prepare some anointed water for her to drink. I'm sure she will be more comforted. She will get better!

- Thank you!!!

"I don't really know how to do that! I will await God's instructions. I don't know his mother, but I will do something I never did and I know that my act of faith will please the Lord and that she will feel better!" - I strongly decide.

The shift is over and I go home. I arrive home feeling tired, take off my shoes, sit on the floor to cool me off and think. I have a vision...

- You won't get it! Your hands are unclean because I am here! - says the enemy.

"If the enemy said I can't do it, it's because I can! And I'll do it!" - I think infuriated.

This spectrum is tall, dark and has exposed teeth. He stands, watching me. Is he one of the hidden ones that the angel spoke of? Where did he come from? I have a feeling he'll be back...

I get up at dawn and go to the living room. Still fasting, I take a bottle of water, kneel in the living room and recite "The Lord's Prayer" and "Psalm 91". Then I pray:

"Lord, may all evil be rebuked, may all disease be rebuked! Jesus, send your angels, I ask for mercy for this life!"

I feel the angel coming and start to cry.

"May your angel's hands be on mine that bless this water! Minister the cure through it."

My tears were wetting my hands and the bottle.

"Jesus, put what she needs in this water! May she drink and be cured! Heal all wounds!"

And the angel of Jesus puts something in the water: a ball of light!

- Thank you angel, thank you, Jesus, for your mercy! Amen!

Done! What she needs is in the water! God knows.

The next dawn I pray for the water again, fasting. I see the ball of light inside it again. While praying "The Lord's Prayer", I dip my index finger in the anointed oil and pass it in the bottle, to seal the blessing in the water.

I go to the office, leaving the anointed water in Alex's drawer. I send him a message telling him about that. Today will be a busy day, I probably won't see him. He answers:

- Ana, thank you so much for the water that you have prayed for! I didn't see you; I hope you're all right.

- I am fine, thank you. Remember to give your mother water to drink today! See you later.

- Yes, today. See you later.

The next day, Alex arrives and hugs me:

- Thank you, my mom was happy! I told her that a friend of mine sent it to me.

- She'll feel better, you'll see! - I was feeling excited and full of faith.

My shift is over and I go home happy! I think gratefully: "This is what can I do to help! Thank you, my God!".
