As soon as he woke up, he left home. It was still morning and he didn't want to say goodbye. Packing his things, all given by Mito, in his backpack, which was also given by Mito. After dinner yesterday, Mito insisted on giving him these belongings, as he would need it when he left.
Picking up his backpack on his back, he left home, but as soon as he opened the doors...
"Noah... Are you going so soon?" Mito was behind him, leaning against the wall. Noah looked at her and waved as he smiled.
"Thank you for the hospitality. I will remember your kindness." Noah said. He was selfish, but he knew how to repay kindness with kindness.
Mito hearing this, smiled, while looking at Noah and then up.
"Wait a minute..." She said, as she entered her room. Noah did what she asked, she'd probably give him something else.
After a few minutes, Mito left with something wrapped up. It wasn't a big thing.
"Here, you didn't tell me where you're going, but anyway, maybe you need to protect yourself... I was planning on giving it to Gon, but I know he wouldn't accept it." Mito said, while delivering it to Noah.
Noah was surprised... He's only been with Mito for a week, and she was already giving him something? Well, he couldn't do anything but accept it.
"Thank you..." Said Noah picking up, and when the cloth fell, he could see that it was a saber... It wasn't a mystic saber or any thing like that, just a small, ordinary saber, but it seemed sharp. Maybe used for hunting.
He took the cloth that had fallen to the ground and wrapped around the saber again, while tying it to the backpack. It wasn't heavy, well, it could be summed up with one word: Common.
He then got out of there while waving to Mito. Gon was still asleep, so he didn't see him leave.
Noah distanced himself, leaving Mito at his door, while looking at where Noah had left. Somehow, Mito remembered of Ging and thought how Gon would probably do the same...
"Good luck..." She said, as she closed the door and went inside.
.....
The Whale Island was a port island, it was common to have shops open early, because many fishermen arrived at this time.
Noah was walking the streets. His eyes were shining slightly in red.
'I think this is the best time to train this eyes... I can still only see lines... Maybe this gets better with continuous use?' He considered it as he walked towards the ports.
It seemed that the ship he was going to boarding wouldn't take long to get out.
Many of the people looked at him, but as soon as they looked into his eyes, they showed frightened faces and looked away quickly with a cold sweat on the forehead. It was as if they were lookin to the death directly.
A really different feeling. Noah didn't feel tired of keeping his eyes like that, and he even found it convenient, because he drove away anyone with bad intentions, he didn't want to be bothered so soon, the hunter exam will already will do this job.
After walking a little, he saw the ship that would go to the hunter exam. He did not know why he recognized the ship, it seemed that when he looked at the ship, something clicked on his mind and he knew that was the right one, in the middle of several different boats.
He walked there and, guarding the boat, there was a old guy in a chair, with his hat over his face as he slept soundlyy.
Noah walked and tried to ignore him, but to his surprise, the man noticed him, and stopped him from entering.
"This boat is not for children." He said, still with his hat covering his face, while preventing Noah from taking another step, using his leg as a barrier.
"I'm going to get on the ship, whether you like it or not." Noah responded asperaly, without giving room for discussion, while kicking the man's feet hard enough just to get out of his way.
The old man took off his hat, and with the furrowed eyebrow held on Noah's shoulder. "Boy, I told you, this boat is not for...." He stopped his sentence in half when Noah turned to face it.
Noah's vibrant red eyes stared at the man's brown eyes. The man began to sweat cold and his skin seemed to lose color for a second, but soon he remade himself and swerved his eyes.
"*Cough.* All right, you can come in." He said, letting Noah's shoulder, let him through.
Noah showed a smile as he walked straight to the deck.
"Oh, by the way, how long before we leave?" Noah asked the old man.
"Oh? Oh, we'll be going out in four hours." The old man responded promptly as he turned to his chair, refusing to look directly at Noah, who just nodded and climbed up.
Noah, after climbing, looked sideways and realized he wasn't the only one in place. There were a lot of men with a lot of muscle all over the place. Some noticed Noah rising and mocked loudly, but did not go to Noah after a look into his eyes.
Noah then pulled his saber out of his backpack as he removed the cloth and began training what he remembered of saber training. His movements seemed to rip the wind when soft sounds that sounded like music resounded in his ear.
The saber technique focused on speed and elegrate, and that's exactly what he was doing. Each movement seemed an essential part of a dance, but an aggressive dance.
Some of the men looked at it and couldn't help but rub their throats, even though they thought it was beautiful, it was more like they were seeing a work of art made by some kind of killer that loves dances..
And so he trained for the next hours while waiting for the ship to leave. He tried to couple some things from his drilling training from the rapier techniques, which surprisingly matched the saber very well.
Sometimes he was using the saber as a rapier, while propelling it with the intention of piercing the air, and sometimes he seemed to dance with the saber, making complex and rectilinear movements.
He was so focused that he didn't realize that the boat's bells resonated when the boat began to leave its place.
He only got out of his stupor when the boat seemed to swing a little on account of the sea, which hindered his training, causing him to stop.
Looking around, he realized that in addition to not being able to see the island anymore, everyone there was watching him train, some wide-eyed while others was sweating coldld.
'Could an 8-year-old boy kill everyone here? What kind of monster is he going to be?' Everyone thought together. Even the boatman was no exception, while arranging the collar of his shirt, as if loosening this of his neck.
As soon as he stopped, everyone who was looking quickly looked away and started doing something else.
*Grawr*
Noah looked down... He was hungry, his belly was already snoring. He doesn't know how much time he was absorbed in his training, but he could estimate that it would be well over four hours, because he couldn't longer see the island in his field of view.
Well, one of your wishes was to solve that out, too. He doesn't feel the need to eat human flesh, nor does he feel disgusted by ordinary foods. That is really nice. But despite this, he knew that human flesh would taste completely better... He hadn't tested it yet, but the smell was practically an numbing, especially when he was hungry.
Shaking his head, he stopped thinking about it before he killed everyone there on the ship, getting into the inside of the ship.
Inside, he didn't have to look far to find some fruit and start eating.
While he was ate he can't help but wipe his saber with a cloth he also found there.
'Ordinary foods don't seem to give much Rc and neither Reiatsu... Maybe something fresh or freshly made has a better effect?' He thought, while ate the apple and felt the small amount of Rc, that it should not even be possible to feel so low, but somehow, the complete control of his kagunes allowed him to feel how much Rc he had.
After a few minutes of eating, he stopped cleaning while returning to the deck. Many could not help looking at him again, still thinking about the little monster that had such a good techniques.
'And he came from that island?... Well, it makes sense that he's wanting to take the hunter exam.' Once again, many thought the same thing. At first they thought this child was crazy to come to the hunter exam, or that he had gotten on the wrong boat by mistake.
But now it seemed to make sense, he had what it took for the hunter exam.
Since he was there, Noah had not disabled his eyes, but had not improved much what he could see. Just a few fine lines he had to pay attention to see.
Not wanting to think too much about it, he returned to his training, still with active eyes, and spent another time, with everyone watching him in awe.
