New guy

Hi guys I just read this book and realised it needed editing so I've edited it, if you do find any mistakes please let me know, happy reading.

Hi my name is Caitlin I'm 15 I go to hayward school in bolton my mum died the day she gave birth to me and my dad couldn't live here so when I was four he left to travel the world, mum and dad used to travel a lot before I was born, but stopped when they knew I was coming, so I live with my uncle Luke, I used to be popular but now everyone hates me because they think I'm an orphan I know its pitiful but what can you do?

Today is Monday its the first day of winter term, Christmas has just gone and now its January I went to the bathroom, took a shower, got dressed in my uniform which was grey pants white shirt maroon jumper and a maroon blazer when I was dressed I went down for brekki but there was a very hot guy sitting at the table with a bowl of ready brek I stopped in my tracks checking him out he had light brown hair which was wavey he was dressed in ..... the boys version of my school uniform he looked up at me and smiled I looked away and went to the kitchen to greet Luke.

"Ahh good morning did you sleep well?"

"Yes thank-you uncle Luke"

"sss don't call me uncle, it makes me feel old" I just laughed, Luke was in his mid twenties and not even engaged yet.

Luke introduced me to the new guy

"This is Tony he is starting at your school today, he is your cousin from your mums side" Tony stood up and put out his hand

"Nice to finally meet you" he said as I shook his hand he had a nice firm grip Luke says people with a firm grip are strong, looking closely at him I saw Tony had blue eyes and his hair was so silky I wondered what it would feel like to stroke it .... wait WHAT did I just think that? I smiled he sat down again to eat I took some readybrek too and started to eat "so how far is the school from here?" He asked as he got up and put his bowl in the sink

"Ten minutes" I answered as I finished my breakfast, I told Luke we were leaving as we made our way towards the door.

On the way to school Tony kept trying to talk to me but I kept my answers short because I knew by the end of the day he would stop talking to me I mean his body language screamed popular so if he wants to be popular he can't be seen with me that's why I was not going to get close.

When we got to school I kept my head down as all heads turned towards us they were probably wondering who this hot eye candy was

"where are we going?"

"office" I told him without looking up, we got to the office and Mrs. Hurst greeted me I told her that Tony was new and needed a timetable when we got the timetable I looked at it he had all the same classes as me even homeroom 9X3 he had english set two maths set five history set one geograpy set three R.E set one french set two science biology set one chemistry set one physics set three the only lesson we didn't have together was P.E but I couldnt help but think that if he was a girl we'd be in the same class.

We walked to homeroom and Mrs Chadwick did the register, and after Tony introduced himself to the class we all made our way to first lesson our first lesson was English I sat down at my table and Tony sat next to me.

"What are you doing?" I whisper shouted "you can't sit there Natalie sits there" the seating plan was done by miss Riley at the beginning of the year the tables each seated five pupils and there were thirty spaces but only twenty-five kids there were empty seats for Tony to sit in Miss Riley didn't like pupils not sitting in the designated seats

"Natalie can sit somewhere else" he shrugged I looked up to see Natalie walking in she clicked her fingers front of Tonys face

"Oi that's my seat" Tony looked up and I could see Natalie practically drooling "uh I -mean- at the -um- beginning of ... well-miss Riley she um sat me um there" she stuttered Tony smiled and Natalie looked like she was going to faint

"Sorry but I'm new here, I'm living at Caitlins place" he pointed to me everyone in the room gasped "I dont know anyone else here and she's showing me around so just for ... this week could you possibly sit somewhere else? Please?" Without waiting for an answer he put his head down again and started writing in his book Natalie huffed and walked to the next table over and sat down on a spare seat I just stared with wide eyes and open mouth I looked at at Tony he saw me looking he put his hand under my chin and closed my mouth "you'll catch flies" he said with a grin then started writing again. The whole morning passed with Tony introducing himself and people telling him to move and him politely saying no.

We made our way to the dining room for lunch, we stood in line and Tony got pizza and chips with a coke, I got some pasta and juice we sat down to eat, we started talking as a shadow fell on my pasta Amanda was standing next to us with a scowl she used only for me, she hated me, I don't know why, if this was America Amanda would be the head cheerleader

" uh hi?" Tony said hesitantly Amanda smiled in victory? As Tony seemed to drool at her looks she flicked her hair so it moved away from her chest, behind her shoulders I looked away knowing he would be eating with her now

"hi" she said trying to sound sexy she put her palms on the table infront of Tony so he could see down her top I wanted to puke "why don't you" pointing at his chest "come sit with me" pointing to her own chest Tony gulped oh no he's a gonna I said my goodbyes to him in my head, it had been nice knowing him

"No thanks, I'm ok here" he answered nonchalantly, I just stared utterly bewildered, no-one, and I mean no-one turned Amanda down, she was the girl that had the male population of our school... nay ... of our town in the palm of her hands, she stood there glaring at a Tony that was not paying attention but was eating his chips Amanda huffed and walked off she went and sat down she gave me a glare and I shrunk I mean, if looks could kill ....

"Why did you not go with her?" I had to ask Tony just shrugged

"she's just not my type" I nearly fell off my chair

"she's everyone's type" I whisper shouted. I calmed down a little Amanda had had rendezvous with everyone in school I mean every guy, rumour has it she has slept with them all too but I don't listen to romours especially after what rumours say about me, I mean mine say that my dad killed my mum and is now in jail or I killed her and my dad or my dad killed her then killed himself .... a) my mum died the day I was born b) my dad sends me a post card every month from the country he is visiting he sent me a postcard with a picture of the tajmahal when he was in india, a postcard with a picture of the leaning tower of pisa from Italy, a postcard with a picture of the eiffel tower from France if he was in jail would he be able to send them? Tony shrugged

"I have girlfriend" he said in a duh tone, awww

"but Amanda breaks relationships in the end she gets what she wants" Tony looked over to her table then looked at me

"not this time" he said putting another chip in his mouth, awww, I thought that was cute

"what's her name?" I asked putting my elbows on the table and my chin an my hands as I smiled like I'd seen a chocolate fountain

"Maya" he told me he was smiling and had a glint in his eye remembering the girl he loves

"awww" I couldn't help I had to say it Tony's cheeks went pink as he rolled his eyes I had to smile at that we finished lunch and made our way back to homeroom.

By this time Tony was known as the guy who turned Amanda down she didn't have any lessons with us that afternoon so we never saw her the rest of the day but I know she will try to get her claws into him again but I was sure Tony could handle himself the saying 'never judge a book by its cover' came to mind as we walked home talking about Maya, school, and Amanda we were laughing and joking, this morning I thought Tony was a player and would be popular but I was wrong he had a girlfriend and he still wanted to be my friend he didn't care what anyone said.

People had told him not to hang out with me, but he didn't listen to them, telling them he was capable of making his own decisions about who to hang with.

When we got home I went to my room to change and I assume Tony did the same then I started on my homework until Luke called us down for dinner he had made mouth-watering lasagna today and it was delicious

"this is really nice" Tony commented as he swallowed a mouthful, Luke smiled and thanked him for the compliment after dinner Tony insisted that him and I clean up as Luke had made a lovely dinner

"its the least I could do seeing as though your letting me stay here" well Luke wasn't complaining he went and sat down on the sofa in the sitting room (lounge) and put the tv on, we washed up talking easily about his town.

That night I went to bed with a smile on my face which I hadnt done for a long time, I made friend today and I was happy no-one had spoken to me all year and I was glad for Tony it might not last if the others had anything to do with it but I decided that I was going to make the most of it.
