I know most doors to a house or a room in a house had always been painted brown so I think it symbolizes safety and resilience so I moved over to the brown door and was about to throw it open, but then a thought suddenly occurred to me.

"What if it's a trap," my head offered. And that made me instantly yanked my hand away from the door handle just before I would grab unto it.

This could be a trick. The door might have appeared to look normal just so I would be tricked into picking that one which also happens to be the one I'm supposed to stay clear of.
