Reality
A familiar scene was above me as I woke up, it was the ceiling to my house.
I looked for a clock and notice that it was 7 am, just one hour before I needed to go for my shift.
It didn't work; I guess it really was a dream.
I got up and the first thing I did was check the Spongebob book under my pillow and put it beside my bed instead.
Then, I went to the other room for breakfast; there my mom was sitting down, looking as though she did not sleep whatsoever. Did she work the whole night?
"Morning Rai," she said, slightly yawning.
"Morning," I replied her back
I looked at the table to notice a burger; 'was it leftovers from yesterday?' I wondered.
She looked at me and slightly laughed,
"I was finishing up my work just now; when I noticed that you kept this burger on a tiny plastic container near your bed, why didn't you finish the burger yesterday, we could buy more if you really want it..", she said, even though she knew we couldn't really afford it.
'I didn't bring a burger to the room' I thought to myself, 'could it be?'; I looked at the burger in expectation.
But before I went and ate it; I couldn't help but see my mom's face. 'When did she look so old?'
I told her "thank you, but I don't really need it, we should save up more instead". She was surprised to hear that from me, slightly smiling afterwards. I guess I never really talked to my mom that much since the incident, but the Spongebob event really did lift my mood up from this pale ugly world. Then I told her, "Im eating!" with a slight smile.
...
'Delcious! this taste nothing like McDonald's.' I thought to myself while eating some more
(author note: oops not trying to banter on McDonald's or anything lol)
I gobbled it down quickly, and I became more and more confused 'This is without a doubt Spongebob's burger that I ate in the Krusty Krab, what is it doing here..'
How?
I sat down for a bit, and only one thought could come in my head 'What if it was all real', it's true that the thought made me slightly paranoid, yet deep down I couldn't help but slightly feel joy. I hope it really was real.
*Ring*
Oops, that was my phone alarm, I have to go soon. So, I was about to head to the toilet and prepare myself, when my mom looked at me
"You've slightly changed," she said cheerfully.
"What are you talking about?" I said, slightly confused and embarrassed.
"Nothingg... go! you have to work!" she said in a banter-ish attitude

'Alright then', I head over to the bathroom and fixed myself up for my day's work. I rushed through my preparation and I had enough time to relax for a while. So, I looked at my phone and googled up "Spongebob"
And what I saw shook me to the very core.
The first picture I saw was a circular SpongeBob! One that I made using my modify function.
I accessed through the wiki, and saw the name "SpongeBob Circlepants" replacing the typical "Squarepants".
Did I just change Spongebob's story?

Thinking that it was all strange, I could only rush back to the room and check the comic-book I read yesterday
The cover itself did not change. It was still square.. yet as I scrolled through the pages, I noticed that around mid-end of the book, SpongeBob transformed into the circular figure I recognised. So I traced it backward and found the page when he changed form. And, to my surprise, it was exactly on the bookmarked page. I cross-checked with another website that published the same volume of the comic, and similarly, the same thing occurred there, wherein Spongebob just switched into a circle without any explanation.
Next, I searched through any potential author's comment in regards to this occurrence but the best I could find was a Q&A of him saying he had no idea what happened, and that maybe he just felt like it at the time. The audience at the video (where the Q&A occurred) laughed, knowing that it was just a children's series after all.
After seeing that the Q&A was useless, I looked at the bookmark for a while, and thought, 'is it really a coincidence that the time when Spongebob changed aligned with the bookmarked page?' I think not. All of this must've happened because of the bookmark.. which came from him.
Automatically... the next thing I could think of was 'the letter'. I think I have to open it...
