Chapter - 6
The bears came roaring behind them. They kept running for a few meters where the car was parked.
Mayank fished out the remote to unlock the car. All four jumped in and locked to safety. The head lights helped them to see clearly the bears. Wild beasts going crazy. The massive creatures were a few feet away from the car. And....
Vibha honked the car horn loud. It magically worked. The black figures stood for a few seconds then turned back and disappeared into the darkness.
With a jerk, the bus came to halt. Vibha's tender bubble popped and she came to reality. Sh smiled at herself.
'That was a authentic jungle safari'
She thought laughing at her weird thoughts. She had habit of creating stories out of thin air. She would enjoy doing that. It also inspired her in many ways.
The semester had ended and the students had returned to their homes. And so had Vibha, Mayany and Natasha.
A month of nothingness lay ahead and it really excited Mayank. He didn't need to be around people trying to pretend he actually trusted them. But, he would miss Nash for sure. His parked his car in the porch of his house. Got straight to his bedroom. Sitting on his soft bed, he went into the mystical incident.
"I love you, Mayank" He had found Nash on her knee with a rose. He remembered how the crowd cheered for them as he accepted it and had
hugged her tight. This nostalgic memory made him fall for Nash yet again. It made his heart melt.
The 'I am strong enough' mask was put down. Hunk had suddenly turned into a little baby. Doors to his heart were knocked by many, but his insecurities had held him back. But, they say there's always a first time. And first time after he could somewhat stabilize his emotions. Nash had unlocked the door.
She came in as a light of ray. The one who he would protect and love. The one who would support and comfort.
By the time, Mayank got out of his room, he got to know about a small party his parents had arranged. It was to celebrate his dad's new business deal.
He went back to his room and took a
shower. On being dressed into a suit, he wrote a small speech for his dad. It would make his parents happy! Since a lot of show off was expected of
them.
He now went downstairs to find a few guests He greeted them and went to fetch some snacks. He seemed hungry. He noticed a few beautiful girls.
They came to him and animatedly said
things, Mayank didn't want to hear. He just smiled and moved on. Phone beeped to notify that Natasha was thinking about him. Unlocking the screen, he read her messages.
'You reached home, baby?'
'Mayak! kahan ho'
'Ok. You must be busy. And may find someone cute at the party...try your luck! ;)'
To which Mayank smiled and replied
'Babe, however cute those girls may be. I have put all my trust in you alone. I need no one else to show me love.'
