Vacation

Three days later...

(At Agua island)

"Eva, look! The scenery is really beautiful!" the princess shouted from a far.

"I wish we could stay here forever. This place reminds me of my parents," Eleanor said as she sat on the wooden chair.

"What happened to your parents?"

"They're gone. That's why I'm finding a way to get them back..."

"I see. I'm sure you'll be able to see them again. Don't you have any siblings?"

Eleanor told her that she does have an older sister, but haven't seen her for a long time. The princess then said that her sister must've missed Eleanor and that she should come and visit her next time.

"I will. When the time comes. Anyway, How about you? Anything you'd like to say?" Eleanor said.

The princess sighed, "I wish I wasn't part of royalty."

"Why not?"

The princess then told her that when she was young, she didn't have much friends because she was a princess. She didn't even have time for fun. Her parents would always make her do things she didn't like. They didn't even care if she was tired or sick. She was just like a pawn, but that was until she met Adam. When she was sixteen, her parents would always let her run around the whole castle for eight hours a day because she was gaining weight. Until one day, she fainted because she was too tired. When she woke up, she saw a boy looking at her and that's the princess's and Adam's first encounter.

"That's a really a cute encounter. What happened next?"

"Well after a few months of being friends, we started having a relationship at the age of seventeen. Until my parents found out and told me that if I don't break up with him, I'll never get to go outside again. Of course I had no choice, so I told Adam to wait for the day where I'll be able to be with him without anyone ordering me. Then a few years later, my mother passed away and my father went missing, so I took the chance to be with him."

"Did your second brother allow it?"

The princess replied, "At first, he didn't because Adam was a commoner, but later on, he agreed. That's why I promised to find someone for him, and that someone is you."

"Princess, why me? I'm just a maid." Eleanor chuckled.

"What if you are? I can see and feel that your heart is full of love."

"Your highness, no matter what happens, I can't fall in love with your brother."

"Why not? Is my brother not good enough?"

"I have a reason for it."

"I see. Well I won't force you then."

"It's getting late, princess. I'll be heading to sleep now. Goodnight," Eleanor responded.

"Sweet dreams." Kaycee giggled.

The next day, while they were on their way back to the castle, Kaycee began, "Eva, I think I feel a lot better now."

Eleanor responded, "That's good to hear. Remember that you're special."

"In what way?"

"In a million ways."

When they arrived at the Fire kingdom, they saw the prince standing in front of the door. He then welcomed them back.

The princess asked, "Did you miss me?"

The prince smiled. "Of course i did, but your second brother doesn't seem to."

"Why not?"

Carson looked at Eleanor. "Isn't it obvious? He misses someone else."

Eleanor blushed. "Your highness, I'll be heading to my room now."

"I thought you were gonna say you missed him too. Anyway, you may go now. Olive is waiting for you," Carson responded.

When Eleanor was on her way to her room, she saw the king leaning on the wall, so she asked him, what she was doing there.

"This is yours." the king handed her a diamond necklace.

"Your majesty, this isn't mine," Eleanor responded.

"I said I'm giving it to you. That's why remember to wear it."

"Your majesty, I really appreciate—"

The king put his index finger on her lips. "Stop making excuses and take it."

Eleanor flushed. "Your majesty, you don't need to kiss me if you want me to stop talking."

"I'm the king. I can do whatever I want. Don't order me around."

"I apologize, your majesty. Thank you. How did you know I like these kinds of necklaces?"

"I just picked whatever I thought was your type."

"I see. Then I'll be heading to my room now. Goodnight, your majesty."

When Eleanor went in her room, she saw Olivia waiting for her, so she began, "Olivia, I'm back! Did you miss me?"

Olivia responded, "I did miss you, but something terrible happened while you were away."

"What is it?"

Olivia looked at the floor. "The-The prince, he told me that he knew our intentions."

"What? Doesn't that mean that the king also knows?" the princess asked.

"Well, he didn't mention what intention."

"You're right, so don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry. I was just really worried. Do you think he knows?"

"I'm sure he doesn't. Don't think about it anymore. I'm back and didn't I promise you that I'd make it up to you? So stop pondering about that."
