His Discovery

The next day...

(At the Water kingdom)

Mateo slowly looked at his wife and told her that King Antonio informed him about the dream Lucy had about Julia. Mia then patted his shoulder and told him that he didn't want her to keep thinking about it.

Mateo looked at the window beside him. "That man he's talking about is a lot more powerful than he is."

The queen smiled. "I believe that they'll be safe."

"This man with a mask seems to be familiar. It feels like I know him. The way how Leo described him, it feels so familiar."

"Speaking of Leo, are you aware that he doesn't have much time left?"

"What?"

"He's dying in a week..."

Mateo suddenly stood up. "He told you that?"

The queen answered, "He told me that he hasn't informed the others yet."

"He only told you?"

"Yes, it's because he knew that I'd keep it a secret. If he told Eleanor, then she'd just lose her mind."

"Isn't there any other way?"

"There isn't. He isn't meant to be here, Mateo."

"Your kidding right?" Mateo said as tears started falling from his eyes.

"Do I look like I'd joke about his death?" the queen asked.

"You're saying that he's suppose to be back in his grave...?"

"Yes, and we can't do anything about it."

"Why did you decide to tell me?" the king asked.

"Leo told me to. He didn't want to do it himself."

"Is there a specific day or time when Leo will die...?"

"There isn't. We just have to be ready."

"This can't be..."

Mia then hugged her husband and told him that they have to stay strong for him and he's trying to help them out while he's still in this world. As soon as the king heard that, he clenched his fist and assumed that it was all Jack's fault.

"Mateo, we should be thanking him instead of putting the blame on him. He was the one who revived Leo, but he just threatened him."

"He just gave Leo a year to live!"

"He did that because he wanted to take advantage of him."

"This is not—"

"Do not weep for me, Mateo," a man suddenly interrupted.

The king looked at the direction of the voice. "Leo? What are you doing here?"

Leo smiled. "I came to help Mia comfort you and Jack isn't what you think he is. He's more powerful than you can imagine. You are now the king of the Water kingdom. Do you think that he'll agree to help extend my life?"

The queen added, "A few years back, my father ordered the royal soldiers to kill her because she killed Eleanor's twin brother, Eric."

"Are you telling me to just sit here and watch you die?" the king yelled.

Leo said, "Mateo, I need to go back to where I belong."

"What if we just—"

"Don't let your emotions control you, you have a wife that's about to give birth in a few months."

"Then what do you want me to do?" the king asked.

Leo said, "Don't tell anyone about this, including Eleanor."

"She's the one that—"

"It's my dying wish. Yes, I'd be rest assured as long as everyone is safe."

"Do you have any task you would like to pass on to me and Mia?" the king asked.

Leo answered, "Protect Eleanor no matter what happens. I know that she has King Cameron, but it's not enough."

"If that's what you wish, then I shall do it."
