The next day...
(At the Earth kingdom)
Gabriel asked Ruby where his parents where since it's been a week since they left. Ruby then sat down beside him and assumed that something must've went wrong.
Gabriel asked, "Hasn't mother or father sent you anything?"
Ruby handed him a note. "They did send me a letter a few days ago."
Gabriel scanned the letter. "They have no idea when they'll be able to come back?"
"Seems like it."
"They actually fooled me."
"Doesn't it say in the letter that something came up? They didn't intend to stay there for long."
Gabriel then sighed and told her that he was getting tired of waiting since there was nothing to do. As soon as Ruby heard that, she smirked and told him that he could help her clean up his mess.
Gabriel laughed. "No way. Do that yourself."
Ruby folded her arms. "Why should I? I'm not paid to do this."
"I don't want to get dirty."
"It depends on what you're going to clean."
Gabriel asked, "Can I just do this tomorrow?"
"You've told me that a hundred times. I'm not falling for it again," Ruby answered.
"Then what will I do?"
"Let's start with cleaning your stuff."
(At Gabriel's room)
As soon as Ruby stepped in Gabriel's room, she noticed that his room was messy. Gabriel then told her that he didn't have the time to clean everything.
Ruby started walking around. "Don't you let the maids in to clean your room?"
Gabriel folded his arms. "No, I don't trust them. It's for safety purposes."
Ruby pointed at the bed. "You don't even fold your own blanket in the morning?"
"Do I need to?"
"Make your room neat."
"I don't like folding my blanket because I use it every night, so I'm just wasting my time if I do."
"You're getting used to the luxuries around you."
"What can I do? I was born into a wealthy family.
Ruby then told him that he shouldn't use that as an excuse because he was no different from a commoner.
Gabriel laughed. "Royalties aren't like commoners who are really filthy."
Ruby asked, "What did you say?"
"I said that commoners are—"
Without letting him finish his sentence, Ruby slapped him. Gabriel then touched his cheek and asked her why she hit him.
"Who are you to say that we are filthy? We're all human beings. You are in no position to call us that."
Gabriel laughed. "You were actually offended?"
"Who wouldn't be? Isn't Abigail a commoner too? What will be her reaction if she hears you say this?"
"She's different."
"She's no different from me."
"Look, I meant other commoners. Not you and Abigail."
Ruby then told him to apologize because being a prince doesn't mean that he could say anything he wants, but Gabriel refused.
Ruby shouted, "You go to school, yet you act like your uneducated."
Gabriel clenched his fist. "You!"
"What? Do you feel it now? You get pissed, am I right?"
Gabriel took a deep breathe. "I'm sorry. Are you angry?"
"A while ago," Ruby sighed.
"I won't do it again, I promise."
"Let's start cleaning your room."
"What?"
Ruby smirked. "I'll really forgive you if you help me clean your room."
"You're out of your mind."
"Your choice."
"Okay, fine. I'll do it."
Ruby smiled. "Don't mess it up once we're done."
