Who My Heart Wants

(At an unknown place)

Cameron glared at Licia and told her to let him out since he's made a decision. Licia then told him to say what decision it was first since he might be actually fooling her.

Cameron sighed, "I'll do as you say. We'll go to the Water kingdom and I'll tell Eleanor that I love you, and not her."

Licia bursted into laughter. "You're really going to say that? Then I guess that the rumors are true. You're notorious for being fickle."

Cameron put his hands on the bars of the cage. "Well, I guess I've been too harsh lately."

"What are you saying?"

"I don't know why, but my feelings for you are coming back."

Licia rolled her eyes. "You can't deceive me, Cameron."

Cameron looked at her. "I think I'm starting to fall for you again, Licia."

"Don't think that you could get out by just saying that."

Cameron then explained that he just used Eleanor because every time when he was with her, he always felt something that was missing and then realized that the missing piece was Licia.

Licia stood up. "Enough with the sweet talk."

Cameron looked down. "If you don't believe me, then fine. I'll still wait for you. It's my fault anyway."

"You're confessing just because you want to get out."

"Is that what you take my feelings for? Do you think all of this is a lie?"

Licia smiled. "Sounds like it."

"What do you want me to do then?"

"Not much. I just want you back."

"Well, here I am, apologizing."

Licia went closer. "I'll think about it first, but in the meantime, tell me your plan."

"I don't want her to have hope. That's why I want to go there and tell her personally that I've fallen for someone else."

"Seems like it hasn't been long since you've moved on."

As tears started falling from Cameron's eyes, he apologized to Licia since he misunderstood her. He shouldn't let her explain and should've hidden from her. He thought that she played with his feelings which was why he treated her differently, but after she explained everything, there was just this guilt in his heart that kept bothering him. He then asked Licia if she could give him another chance.

Licia looked away. "Why are you just telling me this now? Do you know how long I've waited?"

Cameron sighed, "The feeling of remorse, I can't get it out."

"Then why did you have to break my heart? Do you know how difficult it was to love you despite your cold attitude?"

"I'll thank you if you want. Although I can't make up for everything I've done to hurt you, at least we could start over again, if you give me another chance."

"Confessing to another girl even if you still have Eleanor in your heart? Are you sure about that?"

"Stop playing hard to get. I'm really giving up if you keep pushing me away."

"Fine, I'll give you a chance, but in one condition," Licia responded. "I want you to answer a question."

Cameron smiled. "I'd be glad to answer to it."

Licia asked, "Who is Eleanor to you?"

As soon as he heard the question, his mind went blank. His heart started beating quicker. Who was she in his life? Missing her was once his hobby, looking after her used to be his job, and loving her was his life. Why do all these things break his heart? The pain he was feeling, it was just indescribable. No matter how much he tries, he can never deny the fact that he loves her. No matter how much guilt there was in his heart, Eleanor's love was still greater. She was his, and he was hers. Their relationship was over, so why can't he just forget her? The pain in his heart, it was unbearable. He couldn't stop thinking about her, she was everything he wanted.

Licia shouted, "I'm asking you once again. Who is Eleanor in your life?"

Cameron started sweating all over. "I have no idea..."

"I want an answer—"

"She was a substitute."

Licia looked at him. "What?"

"I just used her to ease the pain in my heart, Licia."
