AUTHOR'S NOTE:
This chapter is a side story starting not long after Ambrose became four years of age (he is currently five years old). This will give you a little understanding concerning some of the previous chapters, or at least, I hope it will.

In a desolate land, Knights numbering in thousands are matched in an organized sequence. They all had a rigid expression. Without a doubt, they are all headed to war, as this is clear.
On the other side, stood a dark figure, giving off a very uneasy sensation. Its eyes are glowing so brightly and this added to its terrifying presence.
". . ."
The soldiers were terrified, and for many seconds, nobody made a move.
The dark figure slowly walks towards them with clear, killing intent. It fastened its walking pace as he kept closing the distance between itself and the soldiers on the opposite side.
After just a few more steps, the dark figure sped up towards them, its killing intent became more pronounced by this time.
"ATTACK!!"
Battle cry filled the air as all the knights pushed forward at the dark figure without relent...
"BANG!!"
"Uuurrgghh!!"
The dark figure easily overpowered them and in an instant, many soldiers were sent to the sky due to the powerful clash.
With its potent eyesight, the soldiers were put at a great disadvantage, as many of them were constantly getting slain so efficiently.
*Pow! Bang!! KaBang!!*
Every blow was deadly and would kill with one hit...
"We don't stand a chance, Retreat!!"
With no hope of winning this battle, retreating was the better option. However, the dark figure isn't about to let its prey off his sight.
With a single leap, it covered many grounds and lands in between the soldiers and more deaths continued.
Many of the soldiers began losing their vitality as their magical energy and life force were constantly taken away from them. These unfortunate Knights became very thin that the structures of their bones were remarkably very visible.
"This is it," a sinister smile appeared on the dark figure's lips as he devoured all the soldier's life force. It became hungry for more and will get what it wants no matter what it takes.
Setting its eyes on the retreating soldiers, it darts towards them and caught up quickly. More soldiers died one after the other and all that was left of them was their bone-like structures...
"Hahaha," the dark figure is satisfied and continued ripping every living being to shreds...
*Gasp!!*
Ambrose abruptly wakes up from the nightmares...
["This is your fate Ambrose, this is what you will become,"] A demonic voice resounded in his head.
"Who are you?" Ambrose said.
["I am you"] says the demonic voice.
Ambrose abruptly finds himself in a slightly dim environment. This took him by surprise...
["Over here,"]
Just up ahead, a dark figure with a profoundly Głowy red eye stood a few distances away. It looks exactly like the demon figure who had single-handedly slaughtered all those soldiers in his dream, except this one is the younger version.
["Hiding your true identity is futile,"] the dark figure says.
"My true identity? What do you mean?" asked the four-year-old kid.
In answer to his question, Ambrose saw countless corpses lying around, which filled the environment with a figurative stench. Many of these corpses had been dead for a long time since their bones were the only remains that could be seen.
However, what caught Ambrose's attention was the many corpses forming a very tall mountain, and on top of it, an older version of the dark figure majestically sat on the corpses like a throne.
A sinister smile forms on its lips, ["These are the innocent blood that would be on your head in the near future,"] it said, ["But do not be restless for I will always be by your side at all times. There is no need to feel guilty either, for the humans deserve every single bit of what they would receive from you."]
"Ambrose!" Blythe's voice pulled the young boy back to reality.
"Mom?"
"Are you all right?" she asked.
Ambrose had been staring at nothing for a long time and this got her worried.
"I'm fine," says Ambrose in reply, "I just had a bad dream," he added, but something tells him there is more to this...
Days went by and Ambrose had thought little of what happened.
He is currently on his way back home from delivering their harvested crops to the market (This is from the conclusive part of Chapters 2 to 3). On his way, he caught sight of four older boys throwing curses at a younger kid.
"Take off your hood, let's see what you look like," one kid demanded.
"But I don't want to," says the helpless kid.
His words annoyed them and one bully tried to pull the hood of the helpless boy down just to see his face.
"Let go of him," says Ambrose as walks closer to them.
His presence brought the bullies' attention towards him and soon, they all stared at him like predators.
"Go home! Don't make me repeat myself," says the bully in contempt.
["How about we kill them?"] The demonic voice resounded in his head, ["Don't worry, no one will find out it was you,"]
'I should probably leave,' Ambrose thought.
He doesn't want to cause any trouble with these guys, but for an unknown reason, he couldn't abandon the defenseless boy behind.
["Exactly, it won't be nice if you let this kid get bullied around, that's why you should end it,"] says the demonic voice in his head, but Ambrose ignored it.
"Is there a problem, boys?"
Thankfully, an adult came over, which effectively scared the bullies away. He is a somewhat middle-aged man with an outstanding mustache. Ambrose could sense dominant power running through the veins of this individual, named Dexter.
'Thank goodness this adult came around,' Ambrose said inwardly.
["Leave! walk away before he notices my presence within you!"] The demonic voice sounded genuinely worried, and Ambrose did as he was told and walked away without a word.
"Hmm, not even a thank you," Dexter mumbles as he watches Ambrose leaving.
His brow furrowed a bit when he sensed an unusual atmosphere emitted by the little kid...
'Is that what I think it is?' Dexter thought to himself as he takes the other boy back home.
Ambrose has learned to ignore the occasional appearance of the demon voice and soon, it appeared a little lesser.
He could not bring himself to let Blythe know what had been going on with him. A big part of him is against informing anyone of this, so he kept it to himself.
Right after thrashing up those four bullies in chapter 5 who then came for him in the name of "wanting to teach him a lesson", their parents came over to their house and they are indeed furious.
"Is this the kid?" one mother asked. She is finding it hard to believe such a fragile young boy could single-handedly beat down four older boys.
"Yes, this is my son," says Blythe.
"Complete bogus. Do you think we are fools? Where is your other son?"
"I have no other son," Blythe said as politely as possible.
"How dare you try to deceive me?" A mother said. She viciously tried to walk closer to Blythe in anger.
However, right while she was a few meters away, the mother stopped on her track with wide-open eyes. She severely starts shivering in fear and subconsciously steps backward.
A dark, invisible aura appears around Ambrose, with a giant devilish figure hovering right over his head.
["Come any closer and you're dead,"] says the devil figure.
"I'm sorry, I'll never come here ever again," she said and ran off with her child, leaving the others in a daze.
With no reason to stay behind, they all followed as quickly as possible...
["That wasn't so hard,"]
In the fortified city of Starbow, a giant magical beast broke through the gate of the city with an energy blast. Looking more closely, its presence doesn't seem like that of an ordinary Magical Beast but more like it was possessed, which, in turn, gave it a powerful presence.
The Beast easily brought everything to oblivion and no one could successfully stop its rampaging...
"Hmm?"
Ambrose also sensed something unusual even with the distance, but wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Hey Ambrose, I still need your help over here," says Danica due to Ambrose's lack of concentration.
"Sorry, I felt something quite disturbing," he said.
"It's probably just your imagination," Danica said.
"Yeah, probably," Ambrose mutters as he helps Danica with carrying some of their harvested crops to the storehouse.
.
.
.
*Rattle!*
With his powerful sense of hearing, Ambrose caught the sounds of footsteps, and even better, he could discern what was hiding among the tree.
"Stay here,"
He said to his pet and jumps off the tree as he stares at the assassins hiding in the shadow using his superior sense of sight.
"Is he on to us?"
"That's not possible, he's just a kid,"
One assassin in hiding finally revealed himself...
"No hard feelings, kid, I'm just doing my job," he said as he pulled out his blade.
Ambrose grunts as he felt his consciousness getting taken over. This was an opening, and the assassin used it to his advantage and swiftly went for the kill.
With just a few steps away from Ambrose, a sinister smile forms on the little kid's lips.
Unknown to the assassin, what is he up against is no longer Ambrose but something even darker.
[- "Let's have a little fun, shall we,"-] Dark Ambrose said inwardly as he skillfully shifts his body position to avoid a serious injury but light enough for his youthful body to handle. He wants to play with these guys a bit more.
. . .
Regaining control of his consciousness, Ambrose realized he had already killed the assassins who were sent after him. He doesn't remember doing any of that, but the memory wasn't lost either.
"Tsh, now it can take over my consciousness?" he mumbles and quickly left the scene...
Though killing those Assassin was Ambrose's original plan, it was still unpleasant not having to do that at his will.
.
.
.
Ambrose's first attempts to seal his Negative Realm in chapter 15 using the instructions in the magic instructional book were a failure. The sealing spell easily got consumed by his Negative Realm.
["It's going to take a lot more than that,"] says the demonic voice in mockery.
However, giving up was not an option, not anymore. If his consciousness can be taken over at will, there is no guarantee he wouldn't end up hurting his own family.
Thankfully, with Charlotte's help, Ambrose got an even better understanding of how dangerous he can be, and also grasped how to draw magical energy from the Dark Realm, which is the best way to keep his Negative Realm at bay.
Thus, in the silent night, a mental battle between Ambrose and his dark side took place, but the little kid had the upper hand and, unlike the last time, he halt the growth of his Negative Realm and prevent its aura from secreting.
[You will regret this, I promise you,"]
-"My only regret is letting you loose,"- says Ambrose as he breathes a sigh of relief.
The Negative Realm has successfully been suppressed...
