Tsetse flies are larger than the average fly with sharp appendages that are even capable of tearing iron sheets. That's because their tarsi contain a liquid that can speed up the decomposing process , enabling them to easily destroy hard materials. They are gray black with blood red eyes, a hairy body and two pairs of membranous wings. They mainly feed on blood and their stinging cause sleeping sickness, letting the victim fall asleep for prolonged period of times.
